Don't be shitting on the thread with this weak arse shite. If you want football, go with the Ranttards on the Tiger Rant and discuss the Clemson match-up. Let the big boys make this Mizzou Tiger understand he is a whiny bitch.

Mizzou was up 86-77 with 5:26 to go, I guess its the refs fault not Haith's shitty coaching they scored 2 points off 3 full time outs of their own, a full UCLA time out, and a TV time out while giving up 11 points in that time frame...

So, it was Mizzou basically shitting the game away...kind of like the 1st round game last season.

P.S. After 24 hours of a loss, blaming the refs becomes petty, just look forward to next year

The refs were horrible, no doubt about it. Those saying not are just trolling. That should have been a flagrant. Pressey certainly hammed it up and that may have been why it wasn't called but it doesn't change the initial foul from being flagrant. The more frustrating part of that play was not the non-call, it was the refusal to even go to the monitors.
Having said that, the refs did not cost us the game. Missed free throws, late turnovers in regulation, poor inbounds play, missed gimmes underneath and poor defense handed the game away.

I'd be pissed my team only scored 2 points with over 4 minutes left in the game.
Mizzou shitted the game with poor execution and did not finish...and you were on the road.
If you are going to start a shitty thread and blaming the refs, be prepared to get slammed for the weak arse argument.
Mizzou is what they are...better work on finishing game with leads on the road, or it will be a long year and early exit.

He went for the ball...you even said Pressy hammed it up.

There was no reason to go to the monitor, watch the gif posted, the UCLA player committed a normal reaching foul like any other reaching foul committed late in the game like you will see normally when a team is down to stop the clock or to prevent a fast break lay up or to give the defense a chance to set up on a in bounds play instead of trying to get back in and set up the d in transition late in the game.
Pressey flailing around like a fish out of water doesn't make it a flagrant foul, if this is the shite Haith is teaching in practice, he would be better suited to spend the time teaching his players how to guard opponents on the perimeter, then maybe they won't have uncontested three point shots and maybe you beat UCLA last night...

You're new here, we don't draft butthurt letters about refs in the SEC. The appropriate time to bitch was during the game or directly after, not the next day.
As a UT fan I've experienced more lost games that ended with poor officiating than I care to remember, it sucks. It's over, dry your tears, and move on.

Pretty sure I agreed with ya that Mizzou shitted the game away. A small glimpse of us doing so was during a 45 second span at the end of the game Pressey went missed shot, foul, turnover, turnover followed a minute later by another turnover. Kid has flash and talent, now he needs to learn how to be a leader and that includes being smarter with the ball when up 9 with 4 left to play.

Whatever you like to think man. A foul can be flagrant and still have the player ham it up. The foul didn't need any selling on Pressey's part. Pressey caught UCLA sleeping, thinking we were just conceding the fouls and when he blew past him, the defender grabbed him around the waist. One's body does not spin in mid-air on a horizontal plane without some help. If it was a Kentucky player you would agree so go ahead and troll away.

I don't care whether you're in the SEC or elsewhere, this I agree with. Personally, I'm more pissed today about how Mizzou handed the game away. Can't speak for the OP but my only observation was more about the people claiming the refs were even, not the refs themselves. To claim this game was evenly called you are either a troll or don't understand basketball. I think they understand basketball so they're just trolling.

No offense, but maybe you shouldn't give him the ammo to troll with such a cry baby thread. I know you are young and full of piss and vinegar, but come on man, you should of seen this coming a mile away.

Mizzou lost the game through poor execution in that game. The officiating was bad but that's not why we lost the game.

NCAA's definition of a flagrant foul:
quote:
A flagrant personal foul (or intentional foul) involves excessive or severe contact during a live ball. A flagrant technical foul involves unsportsmanlike conduct that is extreme in nature, or excessive or severe contact during a dead ball. Fighting is also considered a flagrant technical foul.
All the UCLA defender did was reach for the ball and touch Pressey on the waist, he didn't grab or tackle Pressey, the foul was already committed and the play was over when Pressey started his Ringley Brothers Act.
So you mean to tell me a play can jump up and touch the rim, but he isn't capable of jump up and twirling his body in the air?
Posted on 12/29/12 at 12:32 pm to DaleDenton
It wasn't a flagrant. Bottom line.

He didn't make a play for the ball. He wrapped up the ball handler. We'll get that call at Mizzou and you'd get it at BWA.
But it wasn't why we lost the game. Now go do some game prep for CMA. God knows he's not.

You really want to talk about game prep after your team's performance last night?
Want to meet Haith at the airport and teach him a thing or two about in game adjustments, because God knows he doesn't have a clue.

Do you really want to call another team out on game prep when your coach does zero?
