The SEC title will be meaningless in the national title hunt.

If both win out after the SEC title game unless a blowout happens nothing changes.
If Alabama wins the rankings will not change and if Georgia wins they will just swap spots.
So after the sec title game Alabama and Georgia will be 1,2 or 2,1. They will blast whoever is the 3 and 4 seeds and play again.

not meaningless, it will determine seeding in CFP and will be a tough call for the committee: they won't want Bama vs UGa in a first round game but they also fear another all-SEC title game

The committee and the viewers need to stop being bitches and realize who the best teams are regardless of what they want.
Georgia and Bama have looked like the best teams and it’s not even close.
Iowa, Penn State, Michigan, Michigan State, etc are all good but would get smacked vs UGA and Bama.
This is as clear as the 2011 LSU and Alabama teams. Two of the best teams ever defensively.

I was talking to someone about this the other day. UGA finally beats Alabama in SEC Championship game only to lose to them in the National Championship.

Winner the SEC is very important but has no bearing on who is in the playoffs. If Alabama wins say 31-24 Georgia is still number #2. If Georgia wins Alabama will be #2.

You mean “ The National title will be meaningless in the SEC title hunt.” It’s always been harder to win the SEC than the NC.
