I can easily see this happen. I hope we can stay focused and make it there.

Thanks for taking the time to explain that to a BAMA fan. We've always been wondering how that would work.

SEC titles are never, ever meaningless. That's some coveted arse shite right there.

It will not be meaningless because it will be impossible for both teams to win out after the SEC championship if they were to play again.

By the end of the regular season we will see these early Georgia wins were nothing special. Now they have to face a hungry Auburn team that is already battle tested. Georgia may not score much and could lose that game. Last time Bennett went to the state of Alabama he threw 3 picks.

I don’t understand what you just wrote but if this year plays out like last by playoff time no one will be able to stay on the field with Bama.

Honestly if both Georgia and Alabama are undefeated going into that game ranked 1 and 2, they have absolutely nothing to gain by playing it. Why take the loss and potentially drop out of the playoffs? Or fall to #4 and have to do a rematch right away?

Not totally

I’d rather play #4 than #2

I would agree with this most years, but it does not matter this season because both 3 and 4 will be only a speed bump toward the Alabama vs Georgia title game.

I would rather win the next 5 SECC'S than win only 1 NC and 1 SECC in the next 5 years. Fact!

Auburn doesn't have the jimmies and joes to beat UGA or Bama. If you are thinking youll just get lucky again, well..... UGA and Auburn have historically been pretty equal in overall talent so anything could happen. Not this year. Its really not worth getting your hopes up

Yeah, I mean the one thing in your control is winning your conference, so of course it matters.

And I don't think the SEC title is ever meaningless.

Conference championship games have always been meaningless, and so have bowl games. That Natty is the ONLY thing that matters.

I used to believe this but I don’t with Bama. They will win it all this season…again. Georgia has the state of Georgia curse. It can happen to them. No disrespect to Georgia they will kick everyone’s arse they play and then lose to Bama in some soul crushing way.

Edit to add: Bama would not be an upset when they lose to them in the SEC title game and possibly again in the playoffs if it happens that way. They will get upset improbably before that though so the good news is that they will most likely only lose to Bama once this year.

agree with the poster right now it seem meaningless.... but what happens if Oklahoma Cincy and IOwA go undefeated.... not likely to happen but i dont see a 1 loss team getting in over any of those schools even Cincy because of Notre Dame win. Also while that scenario isnt likely what is likely is a team who gets hot at years end and pushed for a 3 seed instead of a 4.... i would much rather play the 4 seed in this case.
