Dude it ain't my decision, I'm just telling why I think it could happen. I think that the lawsuit is what everyone thinks is going on but I think it's more about what LSU has done throughout their athletic programs. The coaching hires they've done lately, the governor and his involment, then this whole way the pro players thing happened.

The whole thing has been very rougue, very we don't give a shite what everyone thinks, we going sue if you don't like it. That, imo, it what's driving the kick out of the conference stuff. I think once setup is finished, I think some of these rougue acting programs are going to be somewhere else. That's why you're seeing Michigan trying to clean up their act and Texas Tech could be on the outside looking in.

Like I said, this is just my opinion and I don't necessarily agree with it, but it's what I think is driving a lot of this. I don't think people from my area of things want it to happen. I enjoy playing LSU and don't want to lose them from the conference.

1 hundo what you just said.

LSU fans are pretending that none of what you said is a factor at all.

I might distill your post down and just refer them to that.

In a nutshell, this is the issue.

To reiterate ....

It's not the fans' problem if they're doing this. Who cares? Fans should be acting like this.

But, the coaches and admin absolutely cannot do this stuff publicly.

The problem with that whole stance is that LSU hasn't actually violated any rules yet.

The conference looks retarded if they're claiming LSU has "gone rogue" yet there's no behavior to back that stance up.

What is LSU guilty of? Saying mean things?

You might want to read what he wrote again.

You guys keep saying the same thing over and over and are missing the point.

I'll help once more.

A damning part of the evidence ...

quote:

LSU basketball coach Will Wade said "We're going to be unapologetic about it. This is who we are. This is what we're doing. This is the path that we charted. We're going to go down it, and that's fine"

Maybe if you re-read this, you'll get it.

The SEC very well could say, that's more than enough. We'll put this to a vote and if it passes, we'll make sure you're no longer in a conference that you evidently don't want to be a part of.

That's it. That's the whole gist right there.

You're taking that quote completely out of context. He said that in regard to his attempt to construct a roster completely of transfers and foreign players, without a high school class.

I'll say it again, as you seem to be a bit confused. The conference looks ridiculous attempting to claim LSU has "gone rogue" when LSU has not stepped outside of their rules yet.

I hope this helps.

The league presidents voted unanimously to drop the lawsuit without condition, and then Sankey’s lawyers proceeded to keep the lawsuit open because LSU didn’t agree to a condition the presidents didn’t vote for

Could you explain why the SEC is ignoring the will of 16 schools and what Sankey is trying to achieve by undermining his employers?

So the SEC is punishing LSU because they don't like their coaching hires? You may actually be right, but the SEC hasn't said this. Also, are you suggesting the SEC should be able to decide who LSU can hire? Does LSU have to get permission from the SEC before hiring a coach? Kiffin was coaching Ole Miss, the SEC seemed to be fine with him as an SEC coach. Will Wade was coaching at NC State. The SEC had no complaints with Will Wade being an NCAA legitimate coach. Can you explain what you mean by suggesting they have some legitimate grievance regarding "the coaching hires they've done lately"? So you think this is retribution from the SEC for LSU acting in their own interests and legally hiring coaches that, behind the scenes, perhaps the SEC office preferred they not hire?

And LSU of couse, ad nauseum, did not play much less even roster "pro" athletes, even though the court system, which the SEC has previously accepted as legitimate in deciding eligibility issues that were in question, ruled that LSU was justified to roster and play them.

The SEC selectively changed their standard regarding court rulings and arbitrarily told LSU they rejected the court ruling and would punish LSU for rostering the players. LSU then complied with the SEC decision, even though they had legal justifications. What is the problem exactly?

Can you explain what you mean by "very rogue"? Does LSU have some obligation to "care what everyone thinks"? This is very vague and irrelevant language to whether LSU violated contractual rules and obligations. Also, LSU has not sued anyone. The SEC has sued LSU.

You seem to be regurgitating the vague language and insinuations of the SEC office but like them, you are not making any valid arguments in their defense.

Only the judge can decide which argument is valid or not.

Look I don't want LSU to be kicked out but the SEC will replace LSU if they kick them out. It would be imo, either North Carolina, Clemson, FSU, or someone else. I mean none of us are not replaceable. You can argue on who's worth more but it doesn't change the fact we're all replaceable

Not arguing that.

Simply pointing out that LSU’s replacement will come from the ACC. I don’t see it being UNC though.

The rest of the conference got its feelings hurt and are somewhat afraid of what LSU will be with the backing of the entire state, hence the complaints about the governor getting involved.

If you recall, everyone used to laugh and say the governor was going to screw up the coaching hire, etc., the conference wasn't worried about him being involved with that. But now, it's a problem.

Lack of institutional control. At least according to this new report from ESPN.

Seems like it's hard to argue a LOIC when no rules have been violated, either NCAA or conference. LOIC almost always goes along with other violations.

Could be a dismissal. But I think only Moscona is reporting that.
