Perhaps, reading comprehension is not your strength. I said road game attendance. Who’s the dumba$$ now? Again, y’all are ultra sensitive/insecure about anything related to your program for a so-called standard program in the sport. It’s laughable. LOL!

UGA's home tickets for womens basketball begin at 3 dollars a ticket.

Even at over 20 dollars a ticket if you assume some high level of concessions income, bringing in an extra 100,000 dollars to a single game isn't enough money to matter for anyone. Bringing in an extra 5,000 fans to one game doesn't make enough of a financial splash to matter much. It's nice, but it's meaningless in the finances of college athletics.

There isn't enough money in womens basketball to matter.

Here’s an apples to apples example for you in February 2024:

SC vs Tenn (11,073 in attendance)
LINK

LSU vs Tenn (15,281 in attendance)
LINK

LSU WBB drew 4,000 more fans than SC WBB when playing the Tenn Lady Vols in Knoxville in February 2024. The numbers don’t lie. Stop trying to deny the facts. LSU WBB is the bigger brand. The LSU WBB program was going to Final Fours before SC WBB even sniffed a Final Four.

Who cares?! It was supposed to be a down year is your save face rebuttal when you lose. Your team had several bench players with tons of game experience returning this year. Besides, we already know you won’t win it all this year.

Just a point, but the SC game was on a Thursday and the LSU game was on a Sunday.

Midweek games usually draw less than weekend games for every sport.

you beat us to a final 4 by 3 years. Congrats. You have one more appearance than us. But we have more national titles, and a hell of a lot more conference titles. Your WBB brand is smaller

Yeah whatever, but when you play the number 1 team in WBB fans usually show up any day of the week.

SC vs Auburn (4,814 in attendance)

LSU vs Auburn (7,720 in attendance, record crowd for AU WBB)

You weren’t even in the SEC in 1980 (AIWA)…LSU, a charter member of the SEC, (AIAW) 1977. LOL! In the NCAA era, LSU made 5 Final Four appearances before you made one appearance. Don’t worry, we will win our second natty this year.

Yet again... the SC game was on a Thursday and the LSU game was on a Sunday.

Comparing midweek attendance to weekend attendance is not meaningful. The visiting team's fans can't travel to midweek games and even home fans show up in smaller numbers to midweek games.

Even a relatively short 2 hour drive to see the game is hard to fit in when you can't leave work until 5 and have to work the next day.

Midweek games mostly just have local attendees.

If your brand is what you say it is, then fans would show up any day of the week to see The Lady Cocks WBB team.

Their fanbase is so delusional and insecure about a program that is supposed to be the standard of NCAA WBB. They are enamored with the number of SEC titles they have in WBB. Congrats on those titles, but conference titles don’t carry the same weight in sports such as basketball. You don’t have to win your conference championship to have a shot at winning a natty in college basketball. They know that LSU is a threat to their empire and the gap is shrinking fast, so they deflect the facts and try to teardown LSU and other programs out of fear.

Really? I had no idea. Thank you for sharing. Why are there major concerts during the week? Huh, wise guy? Your WBB brand just isn’t as strong and relevant as you think it is outside of the State of South Carolina.

Realize first I'm not a SC fan in any way. You seem to think I am or that I have a dog in the fight.

I don't. UGA is irrelevant in womens basketball.

Second, realize your comparison is not really relevant. Concert schedules are built based on maximizing revenue for the entire tour. They're built around weekend locations where the midweek shows are generally filled in with places that just happen to be located between the important weekend shows.

Yes, bands play smaller venues in Athens on Thursday nights. They're either on their way to or from Atlanta when doing so. It doesn't mean they wouldn't get more eyes on a weekend in Athens, it's just Athens is really close to Atlanta and it's easy to schedule a show there on a Thursday.

Thursday was always the big music night in Athens for that reason. The bands still drew more in Atlanta on the weekend, even though those Atlanta fans could go see a smaller show by the same band for cheaper on a Thursday. They didn't because they had to work the next day.

A big brand in college sports will bring out more people on a Thursday than that school normally gets on a Thursday. But most of that are locals who normally don't want to watch the local team on a Thursday who do want to watch the visiting team.

On a weekend the increase will be much more. It includes the above group plus those who are within an easy traveling radius with the same motivation and those who travel to watch their team on the road on weekends but who cannot do so on weekdays (again... because of working).

This is simple to understand. It's why I pointed out that comparing attendance from a Thursday and Sunday game doesn't make much sense.

I don't even know that numbers that are relevant wouldn't show LSU as having a bigger impact on attendance than SC. They very well might. You just haven't shown those numbers yet.

Here's a more reasonable comparison that still is positive for LSU but more correctly shows the brand difference. UGA didn't play SC in Athens this year but did last season. SC in Athens on a Thursday brought 6,200 in attendance. This year LSU on a Thursday brought 7,400.

That still suggests LSU might have a bigger draw as a brand. But it's more reflective of the difference that posting Weekend vs Weekday numbers.

Again, it has been stated repeatedly on ESPN and SECN WBB broadcasts that attendance at both LSU WBB and Iowa WBB road games has averaged 4000+ more fans above the home team’s average attendance per game. It’s the SC WBB fans who are spewing unsubstantiated claims about their road game numbers and their program’s brand.
