Just started scrolling and it’s evident that some of you either suck at reading comprehension or didn’t bother to read past the first few sentences. I

Imagine a kid going to Ole Miss (one of the worst ranked state universities in the country) as opposed to Florida (top 30 overall in private and state).
Does Ole Miss accept pretty much every Mississippian who applies?
Yikes.

At UF you win titles, at Ole Miss you can't. Very easy a big recruiting advantage no question at all, UF also has more money, a better history, more SEC football titles, 3 National titles Very, very, very, very easy to see UF is a better job. Very simple.

You said a ton but all of it was moronic. I will keep it simple. You are a moron. Easy enough for you?

And both got fired. That’s the downside none of you acknowledge. Lane would be on the hot seat at Florida this season if he went 9-3 with the talent he had last year at Ole Miss.

So out of all the speculation that gets posted on here, you chose this guy to be an a-hole to?

Florida DID have a huge recruiting advantage. Not anymore, NIL has leveled that playing field and right now Ole Miss has their shite more together than Florida.
The fact is Florida better open up the vault if they wanna get back to the glory days. Just being good ole State U doesn’t carry weight anymore.

It’s not so much 2010 vs 2025 as it is year 2 of year 6 of a program build. He knows the rope, everyone in administration, has a flow that would take years to rebuild. I think the change in game is a bonus as well.

So it's just about history and much less the present. Gotcha.

That’s all that matters out of that laundry list of nothing. If you have it, put it to work but even that doesn’t matter if you have clowns running the show.
Believe me, as a Tennessee fan, I can tell you we had all that, money, big stadium, historical success. Until we hired a competent AD to get our house in order, all that meant jack shite.

Did we not beat you last time we played? Damn you are dumb as shite.

I agree. Which is why Scoot was booed at the basketball teams Natty celebration. He and Napier are very much hated.

Everyone is acting like the last 5 years has determined which is a better program. Ole Miss has its best coach in the last 50 years. Florida has its worst coach in the last 50 years. That is the difference between the success of the programs in the last handful of years.
In reality, there is no comparison between the programs or schools. UF is far superior by every metric.
Ole Miss fans keep saying UF is a cellar dweller outside of the Spurrier and Urban days. From 1960-1990 (pre-Spurrier), Ole Miss was 191-142-10 and UF was 213-124-10.
In the last 15 years, since Urban left, UF has been to 3 SEC championships and Ole Miss has been to zero. UF's record is 115-79 and Ole Miss record has been 109-72. UF has finished in the AP Top 10 3 times. Ole Miss has finished in the AP top 10 once.
Ole Miss currently has around 28,000 students. UF has over 60,000 students enrolled and almost 500,000 living alumni. The endowment at Ole Miss is $1 billion and its $6 billion at UF. In fiscal year 2024, the Ole Miss's athletic department reported a total revenue of $149.3 million, but operated at a deficit of $7.7 million due to expenses of over $157 million. UF's athletic department's revenue was $200 million with no deficit. Academically, UF is ranked #7 in public schools and #30 among all schools by US News. Ole Miss is ranked #92 and #169.
There's just no comparison.
