Basing what Oklahoma is like on Lawton which has the nickname as the “a-hole of Oklahoma” would be like me basing what Texas is like on Amarillo.

That’s just dumb.

Exactly. Well said. Oklahoma as a whole is a nicer state than damn near every SEC state. Just cause one city in the state isn’t nice, doesn’t mean the whole state sucks. I find it hilarious when you see LA natives shitting on other states not named Mississippi or Arkansas.

As a native Okie, I've lived in Bama, LA, GA, VA, LA, CA, upstate NY, Washington state, KS, Germany, Kuwait, Afghan.

Oklahoma definitely has the cheapest cost of living. You can live in the country and own land just outside OKC metro for a 1/3 of what you'll pay on the west or east coast. I enjoyed VA and Georgia, but their is too many people and too much traffic for my blood. Oklahoma is definitely not somewhere to vacation, but it's a decent place to live. Virginia/Richmond to Williamsburg is probably my favorite spot in the US.

Rural Louisiana is probably as cheap as in Oklahoma.

Oklahoma City metro is one of the most underrated cities in the country IMO. It’s pretty clean, has a nice downtown, good entertainment options, and good infrastructure. If I had a job opportunity to go back, I would.

Definitely - worst places in America

Columbus, GA

I actually didn't mind Columbus. Definitely GI-heavy, and downtown Columbus is kind of ghetto, but there are some nice communities around there. A lot of the area is pretty, and it's close to a lot of cool shite to do (Atlanta, mountains, beach, Auburn, etc.). Some of my best days were spent living in Columbus.

I'll see you Buehring and raise you Camp Virginia.

I spent months of my life in Yakima, and while it is a godforsaken training hellhole where you freeze your arse off for weeks at a time, it is physically a beautiful place. There are some spectacular views, especially near the Columbia River. To this day one of my favorite memories is waking up on the top of the mountain ridge west of the river and watching the sun come up over the eastern horizon - felt like you could see to the end of the earth.

So basically the op is asking for Bama and LSU to hold hands. We already know they have A@M sucking the tit.

There are better places to be sure.

ps- Louisana is definitely NOT one of them. :)

I can name many more miserable places than Lawton, OK and Fort Sill.

Barstow, CA
DeRidder, LA
Columbus, GA
Watertown, NY
Camp Buehring, Kuwait

Yakima, WA

To name a few

While that may be true, it sort of under cuts my momentum, so I won't acknowledge it any further.

Yeah I forgot how amazing Louisiana is... it’s so great that after graduating college, tons of people choose to stay and start their careers there. It’s such a great place to raise a family and settle down.
