It's this, all day, every day. I don't think many SEC fans hate CBS, they just don't like the way Verne calls the games.

Gary is one of the best color announcers any sport on any network - even with his nasal upper mid-Western accent.

Yeah, but just about the time I think I can't take any more of Verne, I listen to Brent Musberger...
I'll take Verne...mispronunciations, ridiculous statements, "OH WOW", and all any day over Musberger.
One thing about Verne, I don't think he actually thinks he's smarter than the rest of us...

I agree Verne isn't knowledgable with football, but his stupid statements are probably what we say a lot. And musberger is awful. He makes the game seem like a punishment to watch.

I tend tho think CBS games can be overproduced at times with the cartoonish sounds used coming off replays and such. Little less carnival, more FB and keep the juice away from Verne before the 4th quarter please.

CBS is okay, not great. Verne is the weak link, however....

I don't know, I like the CBS coverage for the most part. The commentators are always gonna do some things that will annoy a fan, no big deal IMO. Although I thought the Jim Nantz/ Pat Haden team in the late 80's, early 90's were better than Verne/Gary team now.
