Something people don’t seem to understand is that Sankey works for the presidents and chancellors of the member institutions of the SEC. He’s not going to do anything without their backing.
Everyone is going after Sankey, but what they don’t understand is he’s doing all this at the direction of the presidents and chancellors of the SEC institutions.
This isn’t just Sankey going rouge on his own. This shite is serious.
And I say that as someone who is 100% opposed to removing LSU from the conference.

Yeah I don't understand why they all think this is just some Sankey led thing. The member schools are his boss and it's clear a significant amount of the members are mad enough to push for this stuff. LSU admin needs to wake the frick up before they reach the point of no return.

The countersuit is what would remove Sankey. He'll be the fall guy for the Presidents not being prepared for what is to come.

A multi-billion dollar countersuit for some sort of needless brand damage could be settled out of court with Sankey and that bitch from UT resignations… A protracted legal fight plays into LSU hands as it will cost the SEC a ton of cash just to deal with it.
