It's not the fricking tree. It's the fact that they are part of a tradition that goes back to before you were born. There are AU alums and fans that rolled those trees in the 60's. There would be the same reaction if it was something else that was a part of Auburn, and was taken away.
It was/ is a stupid tradition and the whole world was laughing at you. You shouldn't be arresting Updyke, you should be thanking him.
You roll trees with toilet paper for frick's sake. You sanctimonious tards are worse than muslims and doodles of Muhammad.

First. What the guy did was wrong and wished it never happened. Now, playing devil's advocate, what difference is there in disrespecting the tradition part of it and Au fans that claim they've pissed on Bears grave? One is a plant, the other was a living person that a fanbase cherished.

I didn't expect you to get it. You are either a huge retard or just posting shite to be "funny". Or both....probably both.

Yes, I have heard them "claim" to have done that, but is there any proof? Unfortunately, this guy (innocent until proven guilty blah blah blah) actually did pour a herbicide on the trees. Much like the claim that Toomer's was rolled when Bear died, there is no evidence that either have occurred.

If there were proof, then what?

"You don't get it" is just a tired justification to act like a retard, much like homeboys and wearing jeans below their arse.
No, you don't get it. Rolling trees is juvinile and moronic no matter how long you've been doing it.

Hate to break it to you,Sparky, but it isn't Auburn the world is laughing at right now. Its the other SEC team in the state of Alabama.

They're total asshats imo. You don't do that to someone's grave. That's trashy and classless.

While disrespectful, the pissing on a gravestone is not damaging/destroying anything. If you were talking about someone beating the headstone with a sledgehammer then we would be talking about the same thing.

I would say that the rest of the world does not make the distinction. As far as they are concerned we are all stupid hillbillies. And they may have a point.

No the argument made was it wasn't about the tree, it was about the emotional aspect of it and the tradition. My question in that regard was which is worse, pissing on the grave of a beloved coach of a fanbase or taking away the opportunity to roll a tree.

Give it a day or two. Things will get back to normal.

This whole thing is just another reason why its good to be a LSU fan.
We don't wanna kill your trees or your family. We just wanna beat your arse on the gridiron and win a N.C.

Agreed, again. Every fan that's done or said anything in both regards are ignorant and don't have a clear perspective on life, imo.

Whoa, now. Granted, the more this has gone on since yesterday, more and more Tide fans are showing their true colors as to the tree event was nothing, funny, or AU had it coming.
But, IF the urination stories about Auburn fans are indeed TRUE, that is as big of a deal. The money value is certainly greater at AU,but in terms of human disgust and lower than dirt, this would be a push,IMO.

Exactly. They want it both ways and it cannot be. I also have little sympathy for the man who gets in the ring with bulls and then complains about the swiftness of their horns.
