Why do you have Mississippi and Georgia colored red?

Mississippi State will win a natty soon and Georgia is “champions of life” if you know what I mean.

Don’t get ahead of yourself there Nancy, he just used a map that had the south colored in red not states that have won an actual championship!

MSST won’t win a NC in your lifetime or your kids

I agree that the college football national championship is a mostly regional competition, but this is stupid to try to illustrate your point while omitting California, Oklahoma, and Ohio from the map, and adding Mississippi and Georgia.

Idk if you’ve been to Austin or College Station lately but Texas is about as south culturally as California.

The South is the old Confederacy as far as I'm concerned, and for the last 40 years the old Confederacy has absolutely dominated the sport:

1980 Georgia
1981 Clemson
1983 Miami
1987 Miami
1989 Miami
1990 Georgia Tech
1991 Miami
1992 Alabama
1993 Florida State
1996 Florida
1998 Tennessee
1999 Florida State
2001 Miami
2003 LSU
2005 Texas
2006 Florida
2007 LSU
2008 Florida
2009 Alabama
2010 Auburn
2011 Alabama
2012 Alabama
2013 Florida State
2015 Alabama
2016 Clemson
2017 Alabama
2018 Clemson
2019 LSU

Oklahoma's in the South. If you draw a line from the Gulf of Mexico at 98 degrees West Longitude, up to the 36 degrees 30 North Latitude and go east to the Atlantic Ocean you've got 15 of college football's 25 best programs ever and 19 of the last 22 national champions. Besides, the US Census Bureau lists Oklahoma as a southern state.

19 out of the last 22 years. That's domination. And it's not coincidental that this streak started when college football started determining it's champion on the field and not in the ballot box.

The south has different cultures. Austin is definitely southern, especially compared to California.
