Talent and coaching wins. Not tradition. Not colors of uniforms. Not karma.
A&M may or may not win a Natty in the next 3 years. Realistically the 4 teams best positioned from a talent perspective are Bama, UGA, Ohio State, and A&M all of which have comparable talent. There are others of course that could surprise but the overall talent at those 4 is the strongest. What won't determine it though is how long it has been since A&M has won it before, the 18-22 year olds that play the game aren't affected by that at all.
Georgia won this year because they had great talent and good coaching. Bama has been winning for the last 15 years because of talent and great coaching. LSU won their 3 NC's in the last 20 years as a combination of talent and coaching. If A&M wins it will be the same.
All this class does is put A&M in a position to have enough talent to win but without that none of the rest matters. What is certain though is the next 3 years will have the most talent A&M has ever had on campus.

naturally? aggy always have the best of everything. more money, more tradition, everyone know aggy has more traditions, of course they have the best band, and it’s not even close.
still let’s be honest, aggy has no where near more money, aggy is simply challenged when it comes to counting.
any tradition which includes sucking face with ugly girls or boy cheerleaders singing “touch my tra la la” are not tradition at all but just plain dumb.
as for the greatest band of all time, they can only play six tunes. one of which is the theme song to Patton.

You're right. The only thing more pathetic would be obsessing over said class due to jealousy or crying that it "isnt' really #1" because you're butthurt about your own group of 17 year-olds. I'm sure that's "different" though.
The amount of obsession over A&M on this board the past month or so is absolutely unreal.

A&M hasn't finished in sole possession of last place in a division...ever.
You on the other hand finished dead last in the Big 12 South in 2010. The only reason you weren't dead last in 1997 was Baylor.

Does the high school recruiting star rating matter anymore?
Don't we need a "net star rating" nowadays, to account for "star rating" of transfers in via portal, transfers out via portal, draft, etc.?
Its a new dynamic to the institution of recruiting.
Seems the high school only is too narrow of a view in today's recruiting dynamics.
