In regards to your timeline, I know we're trying to keep things consolidated as to direct ties to Auburn, Lowder, and pay-for-play, but I feel like there needs to be a Chapter 5 - purely for speculative reasons - which details some of the recent and past developments with Fine Getty Assoc., Tigers Unlimited, and Milton McGregor's involvement with Victoryland and state gambling interests. Otherwise
What a piece of work this thread is. I just copied and pasted (and rightfully attributed the work to your name) that whole timeline and sent it to my dad

btw, can anyone summarize helenatider's latest postings on BOL?

I'll be honest. I take what HT says with a grain of salt. He's a nice guy and he may even know someone that can tell him certain info, but mainly he just recaps what has already been speculated ad nauseum. That little nugget got thrown out there because people were hammering him for not posting anything new.
People are hungry for any news they can get and they all want the whole story now. I think he goes to far to try and satisfy the masses and it gets him in trouble. It's just doesn't look like it's going to happen that way. This shite is going to take a while to sort out if there is some serious wrong-doing.

ETA: Yeah, I fell a bit behind with the thread. I have some make-up reading to do.

Just jumped back into this thread this morning. I left it yesterday on about page 33. Is there any new info that I need to go back and read after pg33?

Auburn/Alabama nursing home ESPN add
If they did one today, there would be a shooting.
This is definately a better read then "It Never Rains in Tiger Stadium."

If you're interested in a rough transcript of Terry Bowden's interview about the inner-workings of AUburn, I'd highly suggest jumping back a few pages. Pretty damn fascinating stuff

quote:Yes, this is the same Paul Davis. Davis is a bit of an odd bird, he used to (and may still I don't know) write for the Opelika-Auburn News. I know he wrote for them in the late 90s and early 2000s when I was a student. He was one of Lowder's laudest critics, and would often write scathing op-ed pieces on him. He also seemed to sometimes cross over into the paranoid in some of his claims. On at least one occasion, if not more, he claimed that Lowder and his "cronies" had tapped his phone and left sniper bullets in his mailbox or on his doorstep as a warning to back off.
Is this the same Paul Davis that owns/writes for the Tuskegee news that reported of the wiretaps and federal charges that is linked above? He mentioned the "Pay for play" allegations in October.

quote:Do you understand how the board of trustees works? The board members are appointed by the governor and confirmed by the state legislature, much like cabinet positions in the federal government. The BoT then makes the decisions on hiring the University President, Atheltic Director, etc. It's not like Auburn people are praising Lowder or Franklin, but as I said in an earlier post, until their friends and cohorts in Montgomery are removed from power, there is nothing Auburn can do.
The fact that Lowder and Franklin are still allowed on campus is glaring testimony of how stupid the people running Auburn really are.

The serial comma, often referred to as an Oxford comma, Harvard comma, or series comma, is the comma used immediately before the coordinating conjunction in a list. Outside of journalistic writing, it is almost always used. It is thought that journalism manuals avoid the serial comma in order to conserve space.
Enough comma talk. I think I am going to put together a W&L Cheat Sheet with every name mentioned in the thread along with the possible connections attributed to said person. Problem is at work I can only view sports websites in 6 10minute increments, so if anyone cares to assist, let me know what pages you are going to address.

Man, nice to see Alabama giving Louisiana a run for the title of dumbest politicians. Having Lowder still on the Board at AU, is akin to La. placing a soon to be released from prison EWE appointed to the state gambling board. Gotta love it...

Yes and I am not sure if John Ed ever used an Oxford comma I know it's too complex for me.

This thread has a little bit of the "Grassy Knoll Second Shooter" mixed with a little bit of "We Did NOT Land on the Moon in July 1969", topped with a slice of "Illuminati Control the World" and a dash of "The Philadelphia Experiment" for good measure.

When I got here Lowder said don’t talk to Muse, he’s weak and his wife is a n----r lover. Lowder told me John Denson was trying to kill him. The last week I was coach: Monday - The Huntsville Tmes runs a story that says an undisclosed sources says that Bowden has lost the confidence of the Board of Trustees and he must win four of the last five games to keep his job.
I lied to my staff and told them that I had talked to Lowder, the story was not true and everything was OK. I was trying to keep up morale. Tuesday - (Defensive coordinator Bill) Oliver brings a hidden tape recorder into our coaches meeting. I believe this was because Lowder wanted to have proof that I told a lie about talking to him the day before. Wednesday - I had a 7 a.m. meeting with Housel.
He asked if I had seen the article in the Huntsville Times. He said he had talked to Lowder, and Lowder wanted me to know that he was the undisclosed source.
I imagine Terry Bowden had to have been fearing for his life at some point. It is clear now why he has never gone back to coaching after that experience.
Lowder is pond scum.
