Didn't he have any part in the NCAA sanctions during his final years there?

If SACS has to get involved, this will be crippling to the University overall, especially after just coming off probation with them the last year or two. If it goes so far as to cost them accreditation, then just wow.

It's actually not. If what I think is actually going on is going on, they will have to be kicked out of the SEC because they will not be an accredited university.

Holy shite! All the Auburn grads are going to flip out if this is true.

If I remember correctly he was officially cleared but it was pretty obvious to everyone that he was running a dirty program. I believe Larry Blakeney (coach at Troy now) was the one who took the fall.

why are people thinking revelations will really hit tuesday again? they are doing new interviews then right?

JMO - we won't hear the meaningful stuff in the near future... going to drag out while the legal process moves forward

Auburn is likely going to play for the NC if they win out - if they win then we'll have to deal with 2 disgraced NCs in less than a decade

thamel and dodd's articles today indicate much, much, much more to come very soon. basically, if you're an auburn fan and not worried, then it's time to change your stance on it.

IMO, this shite could just be payback for Gadsden.... the dude all but admitted as much in his opening sentence. No specifics. the notion that the AD is in butting heads with compliance/pres. over cam is just non-sense. It would be career suicide for everyone involved. Or head of compliance, a former NCAA investigator... he's as tough as they come...

the above is just my opinion... as mentioned above, we'll see... no use in getting too worked up... what will happen will happen.... besides, some of our best years have happened when we've been on probation....

Yes, he was the reason they went on probation over the Eric Ramsey shite. Auburn actually slapped the NCAA in the face when they allowed him back near their program.

I heard it said in passing last week so I don't know if it was serious, but I saw it mentioned that Pat Dye actually met with Cam during his recruitment to Auburn. That in itself may be a violation because Dye can not recruit for Auburn since the sanctions last time was under his watch. I think that is right.

Dye was directly implicated in the Ramsey tapes, in telling him that he would talk to the folks to arrange the loans.

What would have to be going for this be the outcome? It seems a bit extreme, no?

Why Tuesday? I don't think the stuff W&L posted is going to be that quick. I could be wrong but he didn't put a timetable up.

I highly doubt there is any clause that states no original conference member can be forced out by a majority vote...if the 9 remaining members (not counting Auburn) of the original 13 vote to expel Auburn, Auburn will be gone...

I for one, if the level of corruption is that substantial that other members would even contemplate removing Auburn from the conference I would say good riddance and have fun as an independent...I can't see another conference wanting to take a chance with you for years...

They were recently on SACS probation for their accreditation, one of the issues was being micromanaged (Lowder).

There is absolutely no conceivable way SACS will yank our accreditation. People involved cannot possibly be that irresponsible.
