The Mike White rollercoaster is the worst experience in college sports.

White is just good enough (mainly through ability to recruit talent) to give fans and admin some form of hope each season.
But will never be good enough to not let you down, usually in agonizing fashion, after he gives you hope.
It's truly the most frustrating experience possible.
Better to just have an awful coach. At least then you become apathetic and stop caring. Plus you're closer to hiring a potentially good coach.
With White you're just stuck in purgatory for 7-10 years.

That experience is probably vastly different for a Florida fan than it is for a Georgia fan. UF is a championship basketball school, and most Georgia fans are more than likely just happy to make the field of 64. And they probably should be. Different programs, and different expectations of success.

You must still be mad about losing to Oral Bob

Losing to a mid major by 30 eliminates quickly eliminates those good feels from making it into the dance.
But that's Mike White in a nutshell. If Georgia wants another 10 years of that I'll certainly support it!

I still think he is perfect for UGA. He will make the tournament more than wont and will sneak one second weekend appearance at some point. The problem is that as soon as a coach makes the tournament fans always want to go farther and they forget what the original expectations were. You could argue Mike White has given UGA exactly what they originally wanted

UGA fans here are happy with White. They think making the tourny is some great accomplishment. I think its embarrassing and we should want more. but that's just me apparently.

Mike White is the perfect program stabilizer. If he can get UGA to the tournament consistently over a 5 year stretch then yall go big on your next hire it could work out. Theres enough talent in the state that if people started recognizing UGA as a consistent tournament team, it would be a great job

Nah, as an 8!seed, you can't get destroyed by a mid major. Lose yeah it's basketball anything can happen but last night was an abortion clinic, gave up 100 and was dang near doubled up at one point late.
Michigan may have shut us out....

That was one of the most pathetic displays of basketball I've seen in a while last night. To get bludgeoned to death like they did against a mid major is inexcusable. Losing to a mid major is one thing. It happens. To not even be be competitive, that should be completely unacceptable. This wasn't Gonzaga, who's basically a power 4 team with a mid major tag. This was St. Louis. It's got to be near the top for one of the worst 8/9 games ever. Every SEC team pretty much handled business yesterday and looked impressive.
