He's thrown one pass this year over 40 yards in the air. He makes his money throwing across the middle on slants, which with the new targeting rules are the safest throw in the game.

Any suggestion that Saban doesn’t want a great playmaking quarterback is idiotic. What Saban seems reluctant to do is to make his offense totally QB centric. I don’t feel like he wants his team to be about that because of the QB goes down you are totally screwed.

Into coverage. I'm not talking distance. Just some throws were the sorts that were prime targets for good ballhawks. I'm just making an observation, not trolling Bama.

Or LSU. Who the hell do you actually cheer for? You're confusing with the whole Purple and Gold and Motown and Bama icon.

You see it a lot from the talking heads at the big news giants like ESPN and FOX where it’s generally agreed upon that Tua is not Nick Saban’s cup of tea just because of his track record of recent QBs.

I haven't seen this from anyone, especially Herbie, Rece, and Fowler, and let's face it...as far as ESPN goes, theirs are the only opinions about college football that matter.

I have literally never seen this ever - or anything resembling it regarding Saban and Tua.

So much for "media narrative".

I'm so confused.

Does Tua throw shitty passes into coverage MORE than any other QBs in the league or in Alabama's roster?

You absolutely have to be blind and deaf.

He does and is neither. His passes aren't inherently dangerous.

I haven't either, and I'm certainly neither blind nor deaf. Who with any credibility has said it?

I third that. Haven't seen this narrative pushed anywhere.

If anything, I think Saban is uncomfortable with the embarrassment of riches on offense.

Mora the Friday before game 1 said you literally can't start Tua because of how much more experienced Hurts is and how Tua can lose you a game.

The only other guy on the panel completely agreed.

Who?

Danny Sheridan said Jalen would start also. How much credibility does he have?

Preseason jibber jabber means nothing. I haven't heard a single person call for Hurts to start since Tua completed his first pass.

Saban plays the player who will give the team the best chance to win.

He does not give a rat’s rear end what the media think.

The loss to OU and Big Game Bob may have been the last call for Nick and his offense. Teams had seen his scheme since his days at LSU and they knew his deal as well as Bama did. He beat most of them anyway with better players and execution.

Teams started to have to work harder once Lane took the keys. I will wait until we see more than half of two and 1/2 games from #13 to understand just what he is about. It looks good so far but things can change and defensive teams will be better prepared for what he does well and they will spend all their tokens to stop just like they did with #2. We'll see.

Oh and the offense might be ugly but those Trophies look pretty sweet in Title-Town. These are the facts and they're documented for you.
