Trent Richardson posted on FB "Never Again"

I'm guessing they're going with that theme. Worked pretty well.

You don't want to piss off the LSU fanbase, especially down in New Orleans, VOODOO will do you in..and I'm sure there will be many spells placed on Bama...good luck..you're gonna need it...

Copying the WIN bar is probably one of the weakest things I've seen in a long time.

I expect that from Ole Miss and Auburn, but I thought Alabama was above something like that.

Jesus I would be ashamed if I was an Alabama fan.

Our players also touch a plaque dedicated to Bear Bryant on the way out. I guess LSU couldn't do something like that, even if they wanted to.

What if we've had it since 1938?

How long have y'all had the win bar?

IDK, and I have actually tried to find out before but I know ours represents not only winning, but is a piece of the old H-style goalposts. We are one of the few teams left that still use them.

Irish obviously are more known for the bar.

Bama fans would stick their heads up the Bears arse if they thought it would help them win...

You haven't. LINK

quote:

Unknown to many Tiger fans, the LSU football team still runs onto the field under the same crossbar that stood as part of the north end zone goalpost in Tiger Stadium as early as 1955. It had long been a tradition that the LSU football team enter the field by running under the goalpost when the new "T-style" goalposts came into vogue. By virtue of tradition, the old "Hstyle" posts stood on the field of Death Valley until they were finally removed in 1984. Part of the crossbar, however, was kept and mounted above the door of the Tiger Den through which the Tigers run onto the field each game.

Then wouldn't the plaque say it's been there since 1938?

IF we had one i doubt Sam Montgomery would know who he was. He thought Bear Bryant played FB for Alabama this year.

Ours was a piece of a field goal that was torn down in a HUGE state championship game in '84.

It took me a second to realize what you were laughing at your own joke for, then I realized it wasn't funny.

So cute that Alabama wants to be like LSU. Our old coach is your God. Our Win Bar is now part ofyour tradition. We could paint an elephant eye in the middle of your field if you'd like. Saban is probably ordering H style goal posts and having a hill built that you can walk down.
