I think Saban was 2-1 vs Meyer at UF while at Alabama.

I believe that pigs will take flight over Tuscaloosa tomorrow.

Harbaugh 2023.
Bama beat UM in the citrus bowl the year prior to the Rose Bowl CFP game and neither were at BDS.

I was there. After the game me and my buddy were walking back to rhe car and I said "Man, I don't think this Saban guy is gonna be here very long"
It is wild to think that Saban was a Bluegrass Miracle away from a 6 loss team in 2002. The year before his first title. He started his last year at Michigan State on the hot seat. He was good but nobody knew he was GOAT material.
Bama fans surely weren’t sure what they had in 2007. No way to know if Saban just had that one year he caught fire in 2003 and that was it. Little did anyone know what the next decade plus would bring. I can fully appreciate it now that he is no longer kicking our arse and is secure in his recliner coming to attention when Miss Terry calls.

I've lurked on tRant - w/ threads which referenced this 'pigs fly' but never understood the reference.
I will never forget that day because we watched the game after coming home from my Paw Paw’s funeral. He was a lifelong LSU fan. Ranks up there in my memories with watching Warren Morris walk it off as one of those moments I will always remember where I was.

That will be interesting trivia someday, honestly.
But I wonder if those schools will cling to it the way the Vols cling to Neyland's record against Bryant.
As an older Ole Miss fan, I love that Frank Broyles from Arkansas NEVER beat Johnny Vaught. Those were some wicked games back in the day. ALmost to the level of OM/LSU then...

Bama was on a long winning streak of "undefeated" games, tied Tennessee that year on a two point Palmer QB sneak, T-town was eary quiet that night LSU beat us.

Bobby Bowden took down Alabama in 2007 although both teams vacated all their wins from that year. He retired in 2009 so no rematch. Kyle Whittengham beat him in the Sugar Bowl in 2009. Stoops in 2013, Harbaugh 2023.
Saban is 1-1 vs Harbaugh when he was at Bama. Won in 2020 Citrus Bowl and lost in 2024 Rose Bowl. Spurrier probably had the best record against Saban in general.

The phrase "pigs fly over Alabama" is a reference to an unlikely scenario, popularized by a 1993 sports headline for the LSU-Alabama football game where the LSU Tigers were a 25-point underdog to the heavily favored Alabama Crimson Tide. The headline "Tide could lose, pigs might fly" from The Mobile Register became famous when LSU won the game 17-13, making it one of the biggest upsets in college football history.
I was at that game. Had an awful hangover. Then the game happened. Took Saban to exercise those demons.

That's the same thing we said when we lost to UAB under Saban in his first year!!!
You gotta wreck shop on a total rebuild.
