Its cute how you keep completely ignoring Texas/Del Conte tried to pretend it was a good faith request when the date in question w/the second year of that is when A&M plays at Miami.
To have accepted that two game deal would have required A&M to buy our way out of two different contracts and 3 games over 2 years in order to have the privilege of playing Texas. We would have had to dump App State this year and Miami this/next year which would have run us well over $3 million to do. It also would have forced us to set up another game for this season which would easily cost another $1 million+ on top of the $3m+ in canceled contracts.
Was Texas going to help A&M pay to break those contracts or pay for another school to replace Miami for this season? frick no they weren't which means it was NEVER a real offer.
