Auburn playing the spoiler, and Alabama limping in with a taste for another chance to reach the ultimate prize.

Beating Samford and Alabama would put Auburn in a New Year's Bowl Game, and a win, if granted by the Football God's, would put their record at 10-3 at the end of the season.

Not a bad season given the Nation's #1 hardest schedule for 2019. Talk about a killer road.

Doesn't this mean all fhe pressure is on Auburn?

I mean Alabama scored 3 points on us after Tua was out and scored what? 7 Offensive points on Tennessee after Tua went out?

Not a very good team without Tua

I actually hope Auburn wins just so they continue to be stuck with the Gus bus quagmire.

It will likely be a shitty game given how awful both offenses will be

Mac Jones has had week with the starting offense. If he is at least serviceable Bama wins by 7

Would Auburn really be "stuck" with having Gus at 10-3 on the season, after playing that schedule?

He has to earn his keep for the money that he is paid and for the job that he does.

10-3 would justify his contract without a doubt.

Losing to Alabama will not do him any favors. And, Bowl games are unpredictable in particular matchups, but the overall 10-3 record is more than attainable and perfectly acceptable given the challenges that 2019 has presented.

If Gus loses to Alabama this year, at home, with all of Alabama’s defensive injuries and No Tua.....he deserves to be fired.

It will be Soap Opera worthy.

Nothing like a late November rivalry game against two battle-tested, Top-15 teams.

I agree. I think it’ll be a really tough and hard-fought game. Two teams with something to play for and little to lose. Strength on strength and weakness on weakness.

I have to say that I think Mac Jones will pull it off

Sounds like a good reason to give him another extension.

I realize this is an alter and troll thread.

However, if Auburn got to 10 wins that would be 2 of the most unsatisfying 10 win seasons in our history and both occurred in the last 4 years.

Is that Gus? Or modern CFB?

NO, Bama will put up 50+ again with a backup QB.

How is a 10-win season "unsatisfying"?

Auburn played the hardest schedule in College Football in 2019.

10 wins is reason to rejoice.

Auburn could easily be 4-6 right now if things really went wrong.

and an injury depleted defense

but hey, if they win the game Gus keeps his job. Great for them.

Honestly, I think a big part of it is you read the rant and maybe Twitter. It is National Championship or you've done nothing here. I have said it on here several times that Gus is really a pretty good coach and would be a great hire for and Arkansas or Mississippi State type team

He suckers you bums every year. He manages to pull out one win against your rivals while shitting the bed on the remainder of the rivals. Give him a break when he manages to beat more than one rival in a year and quit whining about your schedule...geessh....how long ya'll gonna cry. Every year you bitch and moan about your schedule, but yet you had two of your biggest rivals at home.
