The grove is packed for tailgates. It’s a smaller area really and tents are all right up next to each other.

If y’all are decent kind folks - I’m sure you can just walk up to some of them and make friends and tg with them.

Have you checked the SEC rant or the ole miss board to make contact with ppl?

If you don’t have luck there- lmk
One of my bffs is a Georgia fan and her son just graduated from Ole Miss and I can put you in touch with them to tg with them there in the grove.

Rolling up into The Grove hoping a group with a catered Tailgate will just let you come drink & hang out with them is similar to a group of guys going into a high end nightclub in a large city & hoping one of the guys with a Bottle Service Table will just let you sit down & drink on their tab at their table. It just isn’t happening. Make other plans.

Exactly. They wear wristbands and shite to ensure outsiders don’t crash their parties. Honestly, I wouldn’t want to hang out with ole miss people anyway.

I dont consider what they do tailgating, but have fun with the chandeliers, grocery store catering trays, and over entitled sense of self worth.

Zero chance of you getting a spot in the Grove anyway.

just bring a wagon and some chairs with light food and adult beverages. Is this possible?

Sure, but if you arent drinking out of a non-descript cup to hide your alcohol the boys in blue will make sure to dispose of it for you.

I appreciate the response. My nephew played for Ole Miss a few years ago. We know folks but none are tailgating. I think we're just going to bring chairs and post up on the outskirts of the Grove and maybe mingle some. Thanks!

When we set up tents in Athens, we almost always end up with opposing fans at our tailgate, and we share food and alcohol. We're bringing our own. I wasn't planning on mooching, just mingling.

Present - you're gonna need a tent of your own. You can rent one for a couple hundred bucks, but better get on it.

We rented a house less than 2 miles from campus. Might just tailgate there. Sounds like the Grove might be a lot of trouble.

It won't be a ton of trouble, Dawg. I think many people here have had poor experiences or truly have not even visited before. There are plenty of tents that would be welcoming for some camaraderie. I still think you could even have a setup of your own either somewhere around the circle or somewhere near the turner center. Look around the circile (Shoemaker Hall, Hume Hall, Brevard Hall and over near the Turner Center etc. Its on the outskirts of the Grove where it is a bit more quiet and right next to the stadium. These people will welcome you I would think.

FYI - where is the house yall are renting?

You’re not going to get a prime spot, but you could probably find a fringe spot maybe near the bridge. Just hit or Miss on getting an invite, but sexual favors will be expected. Hope this helps.

My daughter's a freshman at Ole Miss and my wife and a couple other MILF's went to visit on a game weekend and said the Grove is f'ing packed. Wife's friend has a house up there so she didn't have to pay for housing, but I was told hotels are outrageously expensive on game weekends.

It’s the most overrated tailgate in college football but also has the highest concentration of hot women

I think the catch is how unique it is. That's what draws people.
