Did you enjoy the traditional NYD foods associated with lore and old wives tales of prosperity, health and wealth?

Keep going Jim. Honor her life and y’all’s love for each other each day. From how you describe her, I think she would want that for you.

Nurse, were you able to get your dad into the Veteran's home

We would’ve been able to have him placed there but he declined bc they didn’t have any female residents.

my old roommate had it good. BTW, you knew him.

I’ve met a lot of your friends Butch  Did I meet him at a tailgate or was this your friend I met at MG?

Dad doing ok?

Not exactly. He’s had some significantly noticeable declines in his overall health since Thanksgiving day actually.

We are hoping to have him in a facility in Jan/Feb.

Honestly, I pray that he would pass peacefully in his sleep rather than the long game with Alzheimer’s. He’s at the point of this disease robbing him of his dignity (incontinence- to the point of requiring him to wear depends 24/7 and other symptoms) and it is heartbreaking to watch.

Hope all turns out well. I have a derm appt in Jan to remove a BCC - which is no big deal- it’s been on my arm for at least a decade, but has changed colors and shape so I’m hoping it’s still a BCC.

Hope you are doing fabulouso.

Thank you. I am sure trying. Please convey my most sincere holiday greetings to Mrs. BF :daughter:
Good afternoon all

Lunch was a grande caramel brûlée latte.

Almost done with Christmas shopping… I think. I feel like I need to go buy some “oh shite! Forgot about him/her!” gifts- but Dadgummit I’m exhausted.

Oh- and I am not traveling at all for Christmas. All the kids are home this year :nana:

I've had the last 6 days off from work and don't have to see any patients until noon today, so I am currently still in my jammies and not doing a dadgum thing.

Hello all.

Lunch is a basic white girl ham and cheese sandwich on honey wheat bunny bread. And bbq pork rinds.

I’m going to cook my turkey in the Instapot on the actual holiday for my little family.

And for the big extended family t-day meal on Sunday- I am making Lasagna like I do every year. #tradition

I grew up in ca. we always had turkey for t-giving.

Of course that was 4-Score and a hundred years ago, so times may have changed.

My fam that still lives out there definitely still has turkey on Thanksgiving though.
