Then you add pro in and its over.

Why are we adding pro when the discussion is about College?

Because Barry was way better than Herschel and Bo at that level too

The opinions on that will vary but I believe Sanders, Walker and Bo Jackson would make most folks top 5.

So there would be no need to add it

He was awesome no doubt. Loved watching him in the NFL making guys look silly.

I read where he didn't really love football. He got his money and said "I'm done".

thurman thomas was the man at osu.

the best runningback i ever saw in college was definitely Bo.

that being said, i believe that walker was voted #1 when they did that poll in 2000.

Work with me, I'm going to create a situation in which only Billy Cannon will come out on top

You pegged it.
Herschel, Bo and then fill in the blanks.

People on this board who say this shite are just fricking blind. I'm a big fan of Herschel and Bo, but please. Look at the numbers! Watch the runs!

Actually, No, they both passed the EYE test.

I saw Herschel and Bo with my own eyes in College. They are Number 1 and 2.
After that , it really does not matter. Throw the names in a hat a shake them out.

Sanders was tremendous but at best he is #3.

Best ever? Nah.

Best season ever? Absolutely.

Hate to say it but TD is right. Had a great season. The best ever. But best ever college football running back of all time? Maybe but hard to judge on one monster season.

Now, NFL? I loved Emmitt Smith, Walter Payton and a few others but in my mind there is no question that Sanders was the best ever *in the NFL*.

Just be happy for his Heisman like I am with Derrick Henry's.

Now if you move to the NFL it is as follows:

1.Jim Brown
2.Walter Payton

3.Emmitt Smith
4. Barry Sanders

After that , you can fill in the blank.

Note much different between College and NFL.

Again JB and Walter are Head and Shoulders above anybody else. But Smith and Sanders are a clear 3rd and 4th.

I have a hard time with Emmitt, the weapons around him and especially that OL were such a game changer.
