You so mad. I would be too if I pulled for a shite program like UGA. Good luck on not winning again this year

Thing is....you do. Look at all the football metrics and Auburn and Georgia are almost mirror images!

Alabama > USC

On an SEC board, you don’t say. Christ.

Here I’ll save you all the time. USC was dominant 2000s and was met with petty bullshite. They got too good and opposing teams were jealous, let’s be real.

Alabama took over later 2000s and definitely has become a dominant program. They were and have been given a looser leash than USC during the 2000s. Their hard SEC schedule has been offset by a bullshite OOC schedule in the case of many years (not all) and as much as I hate to admit it, lackluster SEC teams in certain cases such as us against Alabama several years.

Both are elite historical programs. John Robinson and PC were Gods at USC. OJ is a piece of shite. Reggie Bush was one of the most dominant college players and remains so.

I still would say Alabama is the best program in modern day hands down, in terms of consistency and results. But SC was dealt a raw hand out of pettiness and I wonder sometimes where they’d be if not so.

USCw is one of the top programs. Most decades either Alabama, Oklahoma, and USCw are going to win a national title (maybe several.)

However USCw has the weakest argument of the three for #1
Despite starting playing football in 1888 (Alabama 1892, Oklahoma 1895) they have won the least amount of games.

They are the only sure bets you can have. You have to go back before 1920 to find a decade where none of them won the title.

I have never claimed AU to be a blueblood program. In fact, there is nothing that separates UGA, LSU, UT, UF, and AU. Of all of those, AU has been the most consistent in the modern era.

USC was mediocre in the 80s, 90s and this decade.

they had a nice run with pete carroll but looks like there were recruiting violations

USC has only won 1 conference championship since 2008.

2007 - Florida State
2008 - Clemson
2009 - Virginia Tech
2010 - Penn State
2011 - Penn State
2012 - Michigan
2013 - Virginia Tech
2014 - West Virginia
2015 - Wisconsin
2016 - USC
2017 - Florida State
2018 - Louisville

In 2017, Florida State was pre-season ranked #3 before they lost their QB and fell on their arse. Louisville might have been dangerous if Lamar Jackson hadn't foregone his junior year and gone pro.

This year's match-up against Duke, however, is a freaking joke. But next year we have USC and then we have Miami in 2021. So please don't try to argue that Alabama's OOC schedule has been shite most years.

Well, let's take a look and see who's the most consistent...just looking at records since 1968 (past 50 years)...

Auburn: 9 losing seasons, 13 10+ wins/season

Florida: 5 losing seasons, 15 10+ wins/season

Georgia: 5 losing seasons, 20 10+ wins/season

LSU: 11 losing seasons, 12 10+ wins/season

Tennessee: 11 losing seasons, 14 10+ wins/season

*Just for the record, Alabama has had 8 losing seasons (officially) since 1968, 28 (officially) 10+ wins/season. Officially, UA's record was reduced due to cheating.

It doesn't appear Auburn's the most consistent "at winning" (just running its mouth and lending itself to exhorbitant visions of grandeur about itself).

Georgia & Florida (as much as I hate to admit it about the Gators) are the most consistent programs at winning among the bunch in the past 50 years, not Auburn.

I like LSU, but that's just a bunch of crock (tradition-wise).

You've ingested too much of that blue juice swirling around your toilet bowl and spending too much time in the boat, Tidy Bowl man.

So what? We students of history can't help that you and what appears to be the majority of folks here are just now crawling out of your diapers.

Pick up a book and read...study...learn about the history of college football. After all, it's been going on for 150 years now, not 20 or 30 years. Champions have been named for 150 years now, not for just the past 20.

Too many rubber lips around here without any substance or knowledge.

Well put and my thoughts exactly; however, I withheld them knowing they would fly right over their heads into the stratosphere, just as your words are doing right now.

Nevertheless, thank you for expressing them.

Tidy Bowl...it doesn't matter what your thoughts are as to who is #1. The facts and figures---unbiased, unopinionated---clearly show that USC is #1.

Take a chill...pop your Zoloft...relax...and yell, "USC's #1!!!!"

Feelin' better already, ain't'cha?

nice analysis but didn't teams used to play less games?

If that is the case, looking at 10 plus seasons could be misleading.

probably better to look at the final poll rankings.
