I’d argue that coasting through a Non-SEC schedule to get embarrassed by an SEC team in the playoffs is no better than getting your arse kicked by an SEC team in the regular season.

You can argue that all you want. The fact is that Jimbo has done nothing at tamu except average an 8-4 record. This is despite half a billion dollars in facilities upgrades, having one of the highest paid staffs, and recruiting in one of the most talent rich states. Meanwhile, Kelly is 54-9 over the last five years with two playoff appearances and a title game appearance.
Hell, Ed freaking Orgeron has a more impressive trophy case than Jimbo does over the last five years. Ed’s trophy case is more well-stocked than tamu’s Hall of Champions.
