I think they should move the HQ to Eufaula. That could be the SEC motto.

"SEC. We lead. Eufaula. Bitches."

You won't get much credit, but that was good.

The second link puts it inside the city limits of Cleveland. That's as backwater as it gets for an incorporated area.

OOC, I googled Cleveland to see if there was anything even remotely interesting about it. It is likely one of the least racially diverse cities in America. In the 2000 census, there was exactly one African American in the town of 1,241 people.

The REC must be shifting the latitude and longitude lines.

Cleveland is a good area too. Just on the north side of Locust Fork. Limestone Springs is a hop away. 11 miles to 65 in Hayden, easy to Bham and Cullman. Nice, quiet. Not far off from Blountsville and the water park either.

Thanks!

I will note that adding another Louisiana school or Houston/Rice instead of Mizzou would have put the new spot right near Tuscaloosa.

I think you're thinking of Horse Pens 40.

Technically, HP40 is in Steele, AL.

Ahhh. I remember those two. Pretty sure they were UAB students who grew up AU fans. One of them was dating a UA player or something and got tickets to a game. The rest, as they say....

No idea where they were from though.

Interesting in that non essential kind of way, but could become a trivia question.

And yet the SEC in Birmingham makes no sense to so many. I would never have expected to see anything quite like this, but I guess the location starts to make even more sense.

The haters should be screaming for the SEC headquarters to move to Russelville so it can be just north of center.
