Rumor was, he was so happy Louisville took him back that he told the AD that he could have put a $100 Million buyout in the contract and he still would have happily signed it.
I don't remember the exact numbers and am to lazy to look it up but I do remember they were large enough to take him out of the coaching market for a very long time.

Think is buy-out is 10m. I could be wrong.

His buyout is $10 million and the contract for seven years and $3.5 million per year.

I agree. Think he makes 6.5m a year, no way they pay him that much. Would not shock me if it is another Kelly though.
There are a considerable number of reasons why Chip Kelly won't happen, but that's not one of them. $6.5 million would be in the general Saban region of pay scale, and UF would pony up for that in a heartbeat if Chip Kelly showed interest. He's pretty much their dream hire, the sort of guy with proven track record of success in CFB and a system that would recall the glory days of Spurrier and Meyer.

Lots of LSU fans are worried that Florida may go after Les Miles.

If the Eagles were shitty, then it might be different. But he isn't leaving a playoff team to go back to college.

Stop the madness! Chip Kelly is not leaving the Philadelphia Eagles to coach the Florida Gators. Will NEVER happen. Unlike Saban, Kelly is successful in the league and has no reason to go.
They will hire Todd Graham.

That's one of the many valid reasons. Matching his salary isn't.

I do not think mullen is an option and I doubt they want Gus.
Reverse those two.
Chip Kelly ain't happening.
I'm guessing some middle of the road coach like Gundy. Muschamp was great but he wasn't exactly a world beater when they hired him. No reason to expect anything drastically different.

dame kelly might listen, but i just don't see him leaving something that prestigious ... he'll field a 11-1/12-0 team every so often at the dame ...

Bert is the only option.

Don't think anyone is saying he will, just that they would like him.

todd graham? ... uf's a final destination job, but graham has bounced around too much while being a jackass nearly every time ...

Les amazes me. Too talent every year but can't find a QB in this entire world. LSU is setup for next year though. The Les hater LSU fans might not like the result if they got their wish. I agree with Tenn guy.... NO WAY CK coming. But we hired gene Chizik (5-19) .... And won a NC
Agree across the board, ToW.

He's been HC at four different colleges in the last 9 years. If he'd gone to the NFL for a bit, I'd understand, but four different college HC jobs in 9 years? (Two years ago, it was four in 7 years.) He needs to settle down a bit.

The type of man Malzahn seems to be and the type of man Foley seems to be look pretty polar opposite.
I don't think Malzahn is what Foley is looking for.

Why is this dumb shite always spewed? No NFL coach who is marginally successful is going to leave for a college job. That's just stupid to even consider

Exactly. Known job hopper that will actually take the job. Hot name with good success at ASU.
