I think every Florida fan would be happy...he is a very great coach, and an alumni.

TBH Id rather lock him up after the season than wait on Lane and spend hours deciphering his weekly tweets in Jan

Yes they can (and should have) done better than Sunbelt Billy, but that doesn't neccesarily mean pulling a successful coach from a P4 school.

The big name, booster support and fertile recruiting grounds will be enough to land any hotshot P4 coordinator or good HC from the lower levels..maybe even including Sunbelt, lol.

If we hire another coach from the Sunbelt I will vote for a Democrat because doing something very dumb is apparently what Gators do now.

Every coaching hire outside of Nick Saban or Kirby Smart is a shot in the dark. It will likely be a G4 coach or coordinator so yes it will be a gamble

Of course they can. Florida is a top 5 job. They have tons of money and tremendous in state talent.

They have also had a program since 1906 (?) and they have been relevant about 20(?) seasons? They took longer to win the SEC than Georgia Tech, Kentucky and Tulane (?).

Florida will likely hire Jedd Fisch. He is a Florida graduate, a friend of Spurrier, coached about 15 years in the NFL, and has most recently built back programs at Arizona and Washington. Easier to win at Big 10 Washington, but Florida can outbid them, and he is home at Florida.

I like Fisch and Golesh...not sure why you do not. Fisch is a proven coach and an alumni,Golesh seems like the best up and comer. Gol I can get not liking but not Fisch.

There isn't a planet which Napier was a good hire. Many of us knew right away they substantially down graded from Mullen.

Arizona was very hard to win at and he made the title game at Wasington last year..they are not a Football powerhouse at all.
