The B1G is what the SEC was....top heavy.....that means they have fewer teams that will have loses because the other teams are not very good. Clemson did this for years in the ACC. The competition level in the SEC is more even and the teams are battle weary at the end of the season. The B1G doesn't have that problem. They are not battle weary at the end. They may go on a run like the SEC did because of this. Tired battle-weary teams have a huge disadvantage.

Dude, don’t overthink this.

Your battle-weary is Josh Pate’s battle-tested.

The sec didn’t make it this year.
The sec should have had Ole Miss in there as well but didn’t get it.

It’s okay. Next year a fourth sec team will get that win it needs.

LSU could be 11-1 or we could have been 6-6 this year.

Uga lost their qb on what I thought was the best team with the best coach.

Yall act like this is the worst embarrassment to happen to the sec.

Well, my man, lemme ask you to watch the antics of the Egg Bowl on national thanksgiving tv.

That’s embarrassing.

We will be back.

Except our middle teams got beat by their middle teams. We used to wax them in those type of bowl games.

Also, ALL of college football is in turmoil with the portal and NIL right now. Next season or two will see some stabilization in all these programs as they adjust to the change in recruiting and player management.

And we may well see some rule changes with transfers, and we will see changes to CFP format next year.

This is such a lazy excuse. Illinois beat South Carolina (who had been thought they should have made the playoffs). Illa fricking noy.

You can't lose to average B1G teams and then say that they only have 3 good teams and the rest are patsies.

It could also get worse if the SEC decides to go to 9 conference games.

Hey, it made for a wildly entertaining SEC season.

And Mizzou took care of their B10 bowl opponent. ;)

And in the bcs era everyone said the sec couldn’t be stopped bc they were big game tested and no other conferences can provide big game atmosphere prep. Truth is in sports there are winners and losers. Losers need reasons to accept winners success.

The yankee media pays the B1G to do ballet, and pays the SEC to mud wrestle.

As a result, the SEC reduces each other to a pulp while a premier ballet dancer arises from the B1G.
