The dark years of the 80s. And even then, we won the 1979 championship on 1/1/80 and played for the 1989 national championship.
Edited to add that bear Bryant retired after the 82 season. Bama won the 92 national championship.

5 different head coaches have won National Championships. Even Mike Dubose, Bill Curry, Mike Shula, and Dennis Franchione had 10 win seasons at

The difference between WT21 and Irons Puppet is that as annoying as he may be, you can tell Willy doesn't really believe the stuff he says. He just throws it out to get a rise out of whatever fanbase he's currently targeting. Irons, on the other hand, truly believes whatever comes out of his mouth and will defend it to the hilt, no matter how many times he is conclusively proven to be wrong.
