It's well known. Ask around.

Sure it is. Post a link about it.
ETA surely an article was written about it if something so egregious happened.

Wat
Spent a week there one afternoon
A place so miserably boring and mind-numbing it feels like you've spent an entire week at said place, all in one afternoon.

Really dbag?? you are going to use 1 game vs bama? What is msu's tv draw for all their home games? Not just one vs bama.

You will now name the things to do in Auburn that can't be done in Starkville. I love this part

Ah yes. The rule we have been commended on obeying for the last 3 years.

In his latest Wednesday Bulldog Update, Stricklin sounded an alarm for State fans about their beloved cowbells. He basically told them to use them - responsibly - or lose them. Apparently there were some rogue ringers during last week's big win over Texas A&M.
quote:
Stricklin reminded his fan base that the other 13 SEC schools approved the continued use of cowbells under that condition - and they can change their minds. He also asked State fans to police themselves or else.
quote:
"If we continue having this issue, security will be deployed to either remove offending cowbells, or the individuals who are ringing irresponsibly, from the stadium," Stricklin wrote.

Stricklin is florida’s AD. Find a more recent article where we have been in danger of being fined.

Yeah. At the time in 2014 we were in danger. But that issue has been resolved.
I don't think people are getting what this means.

I have already posted where you have twice been fined.

Everybody in this thread is missing the real issue...if that article is correct then we can start ringing our bells as soon as the ball is snapped. The rule last year was we couldn't ring until the whistle blew the play dead. I know a lot of people were breaking the rule and ringing once the ball was snapped, and I just figured the SEC didn't really care.
We've been allowed to ring bells in between plays since 2010. We've been fined twice in 8 years, and none in the last 4 years. Now we are being allowed to ring the bells even more. I'd say we're doing pretty well, and that the visiting coaches aren't complaining.

I hate to tell you this but the fans have not been ringing during that time. We got fined $50K and our President and coaches asked the fans not to do so. We adopted a policy called "ring responsibly" lol but it worked. Anyone claiming it's going on is full of chit. Yeah, I'm sure a few idiots do but 99% don't in the games I attended.

State fans can make "claims" all they want.
Here are the facts.........
1) the SEC instituted this rule.
2) State is the only school who uses "artificial noise makers".
It is extremely obvious who this rule is aimed at. There is no longer any gray area. I am looking forward in seeing how much noise 51K State fans can make.

You are really not thinking this through. For the past 8 seasons, we were supposed to stop ringing once the center was "over the ball". Some people would stop ringing once the center bent over, others were maybe waiting until he touched the ball. Now we are being told we can keep ringing until the center touches the ball, AND that we can start again once the ball is snapped.
We have been given more leeway, not less.

I doubt that.
IF that's the case, every SEC stadium will be blaring music once the opposing team snaps the ball.

I kinda doubt it, too, but that's what it says in the article you linked.
