Sports Illustrated - 64 million dollar question

Evidently the administration isn't as dumb as i thought ...

FSU ... make the call.

Still pissed we didn't pay his buyout to go to PSU and grab Sumrall (will be at FLA for a short time before he takes over for Kiffin, Deboer, etc)

I’m frustrated as much as anyone. I switched to radio broadcast after we took the lead because I couldn’t stomach watching. But we need to be careful what we wish for. We’ve been in the national conversation at some point over the last 3 years. Haven’t had that consistently since Pinkel. I remember the Woody, Stull years. Different era, more resources now and higher expectations. We cant make knee jerk decisions hoping for different results.

The Troy head coach coached circles around Drink with lower quality players across the board ...

Throw 4 million at him and pay drink to be the recruiting guy ...

Memphis beat Arkansas LY and folks were ready to hire Silverfield on the spot. Let’s see how season plays out and then do our due diligence going forward.

Silverfield is a great G5 coach.

Arkansas is a dumpster fire ...

Now this is a loser mentality. We are paying players to win. We are paying coaches to win. Change can be bad and change can be good but if not changing means you cant win anything then you need to change.

My two cents:

He needs to beat Florida, Texas A&M, Kentucky, Arkansas and Oklahoma.

If we lose one of those, he needs to replace that loss with an upset of Texas, Ole Miss or UGA.

If he can’t do that with our current talent - and the way this year as a whole has shaped up across college football- then I won’t be sad if he leaves.

he won't leave. He will be fired if he gets the team to go 6-6 or 5-7 this season.

Anyone who watches a game. Anyone who pays tuition. Anyone who buys tickets. Anyone who buys apparel. Anyone who donates to Mizzou. Anyone who donates to NIL fund. Anyone who pays Missouri income tax.

Mizzou Athletics adds revenue to the State tax base.

It does not receive any money from it.

Tax money goes to the school and AD.

Do you have some evidence of that?

Beside your assumption.

The AD by their own reports has operated at a deficit for most of the last decade, only breaking even last year.

Considering SOS 6-6 will not get him fired. Not even sure about 5-7 (which I now think will be the result).

It is too early to really know how the schedule plays out. How many losses to teams with losing SEC records will it take to heat the seat up?

Oh the seat will be hot at even 6-6 I think, but I bet he gets another year even with that disappointment.

The answer isn't ONE vs Texas A&M.

Texas would have to lose 3 of 4 for them to have a losing record.

Ole Miss would have to lose to Vandy.
