Ratings across the United States do not matter to the University of Texas.

UT can survive with Texas alone. They do not care if someone in Indiana watches their football game.

Except that the LHN was created with the express purpose of capturing all this rabid texas fandom nationwide

LHN marks the beginning of ESPNs nosedive.

Funny you should say that because Texas A&M football games have higher tv ratings in Austin, Dallas and Houston than the Longhorns do.

The more you know

Yes, and he's won his division twice without Winston

Something tells me this thread isn't going to be about the correction of the agent/coaches leverage trend?

I created a monster. The monster that cannot be satisfied or fully fed.

Sure you weren't trying to be a snarky SOB? If you punch A LeBlanc in his vagina you will be forgiven.

nah, sample below.. this arms race and AD budget phenomena issue is a recent hot button for me.. I like to play fan/consultant/master of guessing and this is my new project. Been predicting a market correction on coaches contracts.. FSU appears to be taking the a big stance and with Sexton nonetheless.

re: Kevin Sumlin officially out as Texas A&M head coachPosted on 11/27/17 at 9:45 am to Old Sarge
I don't think the salaries are the issue so much as it's the guarantees.

People talk about Sumlin's, but Charlie Weis scenario was worse in my opinion relative to the big picture.. dude was pulling checks from everybody.

Dumping an extra $10-20M every four years to finance the coaches carousel is nuts, these donors didn't get wealthy from being dumb or abused in negotiations.. it'll change.
