OR any other member. The Presidents are largely academics and financial impact may not be their forte.
The financial impact to individual universities will be SIGNIFICANT.
Sankey is as out of control as he claims LSU is.
Can we not just play football?

Weren't you guys caught stealing money from a children's cancer hospital to pay players?

Zero impact, GTFO, if it mattered to us at all you wouldn’t be crying this hard

Worth it to not deal with an institution that thinks they’re bigger than the conference as a whole

Now......You do the math of LSU losing the SEC.

You are not even in the top 10 nationally in revenue.
You are not in the top 5 in revenue in the SEC.

Plenty of fish in the sea. Good luck in the AAC.

I don't think LSU leaving will cost the leaque members anything at all. We'll just bring in someone else like West Virginia that has the same level of national appeal as LSU. Not a big deal financially.

Reducing to 15 members means a bigger piece of the pie. Mizzou’s about to get rich!

If they do kick them out I vote we replace them with Clemson.

Terrible downgrade.

Is it though? Clemson fans are at least somewhat classier than LSU.

You’re replaceable. There’s plenty of other options to add. The media rights per school will increase no matter what with the additions of TX/OU. UNC is in a much more valuable state
You had a good 20 year run there. You’ll always have those memories

No, the impact will not be significant. Actually it will be a boon to the remainder of the schools. A quick review of LSU athletics budget, shows pretty much a net loss or at best breakeven for this decade. Losing the $75 million the SEC paid LSU frees up that money for the remaining schools. With the big broadcast rights coming up for negotiations the schools will benefit greatly financially as well as with recruiting with LSU gone.
