My new most hated phrase

“We’ll go to commercial while they review the play”

Too much football getting in the way of commercials. Need to keep shortening the games to make room.

That's good idea. I'd pay a premium for the all commerical channel so I didn't have to see all that pesky football

I can’t wait until it’s a side-by-side with constant commercials (with audio) on one side while the game is played on the other. ESPN will love that since they won’t need announcers anymore

They screwed us on that didn’t they, they shorten the actual number of plays and the game but kept the game slots the same and filled the space with extra commercials

And they are almost always incredibly bad commercials. At least Buff Wild Wings made fun on the excessive roughing the passer penalties.

You insinuate that it wasn’t intentional

Game time is down over 10% but tv run time is the same.

Not to mention the ncaa doesn't regulate commercials like the NFL does, 8 per half. So they just front load all the commercials in case the second half sucks.

Which means they can still say on average we only show x amount of commercials.

And we were told the running clock rule was for player safety.

I can honestly say that I can't think of a single commercial. There's so many of them, I just tune that shite out. I have a man cave with 5 TVs and I just tune to the one that has football.

I have three I switch around on ---- but too
often hit a commercial break at the same time
on all three. It's almost like some bastard
somewhere knows I'm switching and cues
the commercials.

I swear they had the commercial synchronized today. I was watching 2-4 games all day with DVR and Most the day they were all on commercials at same time

Imagine paying hundreds of dollars to sit through tons of dead air commercials in stadium...

Oh wait we're in the SEC we've been dealing with it for years.

I can't either, but I know what industries are making them and putting them on during college football games:

Insurance
Automobiles
Corporate food and drink
Cell phone providers

Somewhere between 76-80 commercials in the first half of UGA USC. We counted them. Game is UNWATCHABLE. Transfer portal and NIl is survivable….CFB will not survive 70+ commercials a half. In 10 years there won’t be 40k people at a game if they don’t cut out the TV timeouts
