and forced OU and Texas to stay for another year? What kind of shitty lawyers do you guys have anyway?
Kudos to A&M and Mizzou for making the decision in the summer of 2011 and playing in the SEC the very next fall in 2012.
Why are you (Texas & OU) letting the Big 12 bully you around? I thought Texas ran the conference and stuff? Looks like y'all don't run shite.

$80 Million is a tough pill to swallow

They couldn't afford the buyout. It would have cost them over $80 million each.

It was funny after all of them saying they would play in the sec in 2023
But at least they are getting out in 24 instead of 25 even if they are having to pay 117 million to do it

I believe horn had the buy out money but sooner didn’t, so they comprised another year.

Even if you had the money, It's a HORRIBLE business decision to pay that money. Why would any corporation pay that kind of $$, especially when they're not going to get the full cut of the SEC funds out of the gate? Especially when there isn't a 12 team playoff right now?

Our roster was hammered dog shite when we decided to make the move, why pay more money to have a terrible start in the SEC?

A) B12 leveraged the $80M buyout
B) Covid created losses in ADepts by tens of millions
C) Texas would've pulled the plug, but needed OU to agree
D) Florida fan critiquing AD spending? Lololololololololol

Texas & OU are simply listening to ESPN who is running the Show
Texas & OU ain't paying much if anything at all to leave, as ESPN is picking up the dimes and writing Texas a fat check for LHN

Plenty of other media companies that can write fat checks.

Mizzou and TAMU never signed a grant of rights. They had nothing binding them to the Big 12.
