Yep, all Kelly is doing is getting older (63), slower, and lazier. He has never been a big game coach anyway.

Makes you wonder why he and Kalen have the same record, despite Kalen having far more talent.

Yup. He built them back from nothing when no one else could. Freeman played NIL Georgia lol. Big difference than when Kelly played Alabamas dominant team.

not really.

If DeBoer is worse in year 3 than his first year, you will have somewhat of a point.

Whatever makes y'all feel better.

I know the ND fans I talked with last night are very happy with their current coach certainly feel as if they upgraded.

Fans are dumb, some Bama posters here were saying Bama had upgraded their coaching staff coming into this season.

I don’t know that he does. Josh from CFB Needs did a break down of Alabamas roster. Most of Nick Sabans 2021/22 class is gone. Most of Alabama starters minus the OL were transfers and True freshmen this year.

Yeah. Most of 22 class is gone and even then are not starting at the school they transferred to. They have to wonder if not getting great assistants led to a lot of evaluation misses his last couple of years. Last years class has done well but most of them are WR and DB.

Well if they did say that, that was a stupid thing to say. I think most Bama fans were very optimistic that Deboer could help develop Milroe and have the offense looking very different.

But the ND fans have results that Kelly could never get there to base their opinions on.

Louisiana State has minimization and rationalization to base their opinion on.

Plus, Kelly is old as frick and looks rather sickly.

They're back in the semifinals. Yay for them.

Different eras. Those other teams that Kelly lost to would also blast this ND team. I watched my mediocre trojans go up and down the field on this ND team. GA should be ashamed of themselves

Notre Dame lost to an 8–5 G5 team this year. That alone would've disqualified them from every single iteration of the playoffs from 2014 to 2023. Also, they backdoored in to the 2020 playoffs. They got trounced in the last game of the season by 24 points and somehow only fell from #2 to #4. Texas A&M fans are the least bitching fans on the planet for putting up with that.

Realistically, whoever was #4 was just playing for the right to get prison raped by Bama. And A&M had already lost to Bama earlier in the year by 28, but it was the second game of the season and they fell eight spots to ND's convenient two. ND loses the last game by 24 to Clemson - who they beat earlier by a miracle when Trevor Lawrence was out of the game and had returned for the rematch. That set ND up for a potential third game in one season against Clemson in the NC game, all because of SEC fatigue and because Notre Dame is a bigger football brand than TAMU.

ND under Brian Kelly was a paper tiger every single year. And now he's at LSU representing the basement of what Les Miles had to offer.

By winning games in the playoff.

You can minimize it all you want but beating UGA last night was a good win. That is a good team that plays very differently than Kelly's teams at ND and Louisiana State.

I mean, I don't get why y'all are pushing back so hard on the idea that Freeman is a better coach, a younger coach with way more excitement around his program, and has plenty of time left in his career to just get better.

Kelly is sort of the opposite of all that.

Sure, but it's weird that Bama fans are trying to equate it with beating 2020 Alabama.

Anything to troll their rival I guess.

Well yeah. BK faced 2020 Alabama and 2018 Clemson, they went a combined 28-0 and both won the natty. 2024 Indiana had one win over a team with a winning record 2024 Georgia had two losses and a backup quarterback

Don’t let facts get in the way of dumb trolls.

BK had them in a semifinal twice.

Do you really think it's crazy for someone to assume a BK led team loses that game? That notre dame team won by being doing things alot different than kelly did. That's just a fact. It's been true since he's been at lsu. It's like us paying 10 million in 2009 for mark richt and expecting different results. Hell yall clown kiffin all the time for the same thing
