Yesterday I watched Beamer weekly presser and today I watched Jimbo's in advance of our game this weekend. More than their words (coaches never REALLY say anything anyway) what jumped out at me was the body language of each Coach. Jimbo was behind a table, arms crossed, fidgety, and failing to make eye contact with the audience. To me that says, defensive, evasive and lack of confidence. Honestly he looked defeated from the drop.

Contrast that to Beamer's Presser. Standing up, expressive (both with his hands and facial expressions) smiling, engaging the press corps with eye contact. In contrast to Fisher, Beamer looked confident to me.

I know none of it probably means anything, but I did find it interesting. FWIW, Fisher spoke for about 7-8 mins, Beamer spoke for close to 20. Presented below for your review, two clips that represent the opening 10 seconds or so of each Coach's presser. Thoughts?

Another thing I'll add is Fisher said 2 or 3 times they were looking ahead to other opponents they have in the next few weeks (Ole Miss). I'm not very smart, but that seems like a good sign for SC....

Edit: To be completely transparent, here's the entire presser from each coach.

Fisher

Beamer

I hope SC can finally beat them this year. The atmosphere in Williams Brice should be rocking on Saturday night.

Beamer learned from his dad and (although sometimes he’s very cringy) he’s much classier than Jimbo. Jimbo looks like he’s at a Congessional hearing for hanging out with Epstein.

I'm convinced Shane Beamer watched Ted Lasso and said, "yep, that's what I'm gonna be."

Wow, this is a reach.

I guess when you haven't beaten someone you'll look for anything though.

What's a reach? Did you watch the videos? Was anything I said untrue?

And I guess you didn't read this in the OP

Maybe Dumbo was just having a bad day. But I I was truly fascinated by just how down he looked at that presser. He looked like he'd rather be anywhere else.

Contrary to what you might believe, this really wasn't a troll post. It was the simple observation of a fan. It's one thing to say, "Such and Such a team is down this year." But when it's visibly reinforced by how the Coach physically carries themself in a public forum like a presser, it's alarming. Or at least it would be to me if I were an A&M fan. I've seen this look before, and it was in Muschamp's last days. Oh, and this guy.....

He's double jointed. Just like his dad who was double chinned...

Hey, the guy doesn’t give up and has y’all at 4-2.

ETA. Accidentally hit send. Not gonna lie - I miss playing Spurrier when we were both competitive-good and I was annoyed this year when Beamer onsided like 3 times in a row when y’all had lost. I’ll give him credit for not quitting and recovering 1/3 though. It was a fun game in its own right -zero D. Lol.

SCAR won the press conference. I'm sure that's worth at least 2 touchdowns. Why even play the game? It's over

Definitely a huge game for South Carolina, bloods definitely in the water, can Beamer give the kill shot? Atm is definitely playing spoiler as I feel like most of their season goals have passed however usce would be 5-2 with a win and in much better shape with tennn and Clemson still left

Is Jimbo the only coach to always sit during these?
