LSU fans started literally at least a hundred Lane Kiffin threads on this board that would've worked better on the LSU board in the months after Kiffin was hired. After all that attention whoring, what do you expect?
Hmm...

I don't think they will mind 9-3 the first year. practically everyone is new to the school and coaches. plus LSU has a very tough schedule this year.

You think there's going to be a rational response? What fanbase are you thinking about? After all the over the top woofing and trash talking since the Freshwater hire, anything less than an undefeated season is going to be taken as an intentional act of betrayal.

First gumps said that the Lane Train was at one point the heir apparent. Now they hate him AND talk about betrayal.

What Josh Pate is saying is that if LSU can only manage 8.4 wins or just an even 8.5 wins, then the whole LSU fanbase will consider their savior's first season a failure.
They need at least 8.51 wins to kind of keep believing.

How do we get half of a win?

Josh Pete def knows more then me about CFB..so I will just agree...is not like someone like Corso or Bayless saying it.

My brother in Jesus, there are many LSU fans on here who have been vocal in their opinion that Kiffin to LSU is a more important and consequential hire than Saban to Bama. Those are some pretty lofty expectations.
Why must you gumps always lie?

I expect 8 wins personally.

LSU has a very tough schedule this year.
But it is really not more difficult than it was last year to any signficant degree
Last year you played 3 playoff teams, as well as Vandy who just missed out. 4 teams that finished in the top 15 and 3 of those games were on the rd. This year you are probably looking at playing another 3-4 playoff teams, but its likely 3 of those games (A&M, Bama, Texas) will be at home. You get clemson at home this year instead of on the rd, you have ole miss on the rd but you had them on the rd last year. Replace #15 vandy from last year with TN this year and south carolina with Kentucky and hat leads me to believe Kiffin is essentially playing with the same deck of cards Kelly was in 2025

I mean yeah Lane built himself a Dream Team squad with a Dream Team of coaches, anything less than 9-3 will be a massive disappointment for Year 1 but I and millions of LSU fans have great confidence in Lane to get it done
