Or he's not actually the great coach some people hype him up to be.

I do not at all want him at Alabama. Not even a little bit.

He only wins like 34% of his games against ranked teams going 13-25 in them. Despite coaching at big name schools, he has a total of 2 wins over top5 schools. Oregon in 2011 while at USC, and then Georgia last year. That's it.

I think DeBoers record against top25 teams is 80%. It was 86%, but the Oklahoma loss took him from 17-3 to 17-4 against ranked teams.

Even if we just take a look at Ole Miss, he has a losing record against ranked teams. 7-9(43%), and only 1 of them a road win.

And that's just looking at his on the field performance and doesn't take into account all the extra bullshite that happens off the field with him.

LSU fans just got a front row seat of what's going to happen every time a coaching job opens up.

frick no, I want no part of it.

I’m sure that is also why UGa, AU and other fans think the way LK handles this is less than ideal too.

eBoer has taken two different P5 schools to conference championship games and more than likely two playoff berths with a national championship appearance.
Sounds like Brian Kelly...

Interesting take from a Texas fan, considering DeBoer beat Texas in the playoffs leading to the national title game, only a week or so before he was hired at Alabama less than 2 days after Saban retired

Without a doubt that is who I wanted the day Saban retired. LSU just hired the best coach in college football.
Thank you for being honest.

What I posted is absolutely fact. And notice I didn’t mention a single word about championships Kiffin won. He DID make Ole Miss nationally relevant. And Kelly made LSU irrelevant - 8-4 and 7-5. So I take it LSU just wants to become nationally relevant once again.

The fact you are trying to use that as a gotcha is just further proof of how illiterate many LSU fans are.

Yeah, he is no doubt an admin alter.

I admit when Chicken said that this place would be donating to LSU’s NIL I questioned whether anyone other than LSU fans should post here. But seeing how badly LSU has fared since then makes me realize it makes no difference, LSU is gonna LSU.

I'll be "melting" for the next 4 years. I'm pretty use to it honestly after "melting" over Brian Kelly for the past 4 years.

So they want LK as coach too? Or they see that LK is being a little bitch? Which is it?

Alabama fans are gearing up for another playoff run. LSU's bowl game will involve a giant anthropomorphic Pop Tart.

Simple.

We did.

Dude has a 17-4(80%) record against ranked teams, is recruiting great at Alabama and is turning things around.

I think he's had to learn a few lessons about "cupcakes" in the SEC, but overall I am very pleased. I'm sure he's use to getting those Pac12 freshly baked super soft cupcakes and now it's an every week battle.

And while Ole Miss has played the weakest schedule in the SEC so far, Alabama has played the 8th toughest schedule in the country this year.

I wouldn't trade him for any other coaches at this point. Kirby maybe directly after Saban, but not really now so much.

For comparison, Kiffin's record is 13-25(34%) against ranked teams. To be fair, he did manage to go 7-9(43%) against ranked teams at Ole Miss overall, and even as high as 1-1(50%) this year.

But sure, sign me up for that shitty record against ranked teams and the constant off the field drama/distractions he creates.
