The rest you should read about, because after Wade a guy named Frank Thomas came a long and was the mentor to another HoF coach who ended up mentoring some coaches himself.
The only other school that was having any type of success close to that out of the South was Tennessee.

I didn't ask for a history lesson though. Imo, to say that Alabama is directly responsible for the success of this conference is a stab to the other teams. Notice, I did say imo. You can have your opinions too. But it comes off as obnoxious and arrogant when you claim the rights to the success of our conference. This is 2012.
Then we get told to "get over ourselves." And get called hypocrites. It's ridiculous. But again, that's my opinion.

I thought my "we should have some kind of claim to the last six titles" was a bit much but you never know around here.
