I'm guessing Nick signs a new deal with Bama that gives him a nice bump in salary.
Sexton is using Texas to get Nick more money from Bama.
Move along. Nothing to see here.

Sexton came out and said that Texas would be the only job he'd consider.
Can you post the direct quote from him? Not a Texas booster saying he said this. I'll wait.

Dude, Saban is leaving because Austin has food carts, live music, and film festivals. You just know how much Saban loves that stuff.
Truest statement I've read yet!

Believe the Texas camp wrote the book on how NOT to hire Nick Saban. All of this is fun, but he's not leaving Tuscaloosa.

I don't think anyone will debate that he is their top target. So far that's where we stand though. The whole "done deal" thing is just Texas egos being Texas egos

i hit my 7500 character limit, seeing that yall started a saban is staying thread, i believe i can remove quotes applicable to him staying at bama from my OP

Obviously. They would be incompetent to not go for him. Most of the "legit" rumors stem from prominent boosters pledging their money for a Saban hire. Then these guys talk amongst one another about how much money they are willing to cough up. These conversations get overheard or passed along in a big game of "telephone."
Of course Saban will entertain these offers because they are going to be the biggest offers in CFB history. I personally think he will stay at Alabama because that is the logical thing to do. But Saban may not make this decision based on logic. A part of him never wants to settle down and always looking for the next opportunity. That's part of what makes him such a great coach.
If I had to give it odds I would say 4:1 Saban stays at Bama. Anythings possible.

Will the mods keep this one at the top so we can refer to it next year when the same round of BS pops up?

So youre saying theres a 20% chance that Saban stays, 80% he leaves??
I don't think you know how to make odds

Sexton has floated the $100 million for 10 years since the end of the 2011 season. Maybe it was a bluff - maybe it was to see how serious Texas would be. Who knows?
However, if they offer it, anybody who thinks Saban stays in Tuscaloosa for $8 million a year instead of taking a guaranteed $100 million for 10 years at Texas is crazier than I am (and that's pretty crazy, FTR).
