Does anyone think Lane looks back at his 2022 decision and seriously thinks that he thinks, "Man, I regret not going to Auburn?"

Lane could really put an end to all of this and just sign the extension. Would be funny to do it this week with Florida on the schedule.

Auburn fans are idiots. They had a new coach with a phenomenal track record in Harsin and he even won some big games early on and gave bama all they could handle and their response was to honeypot him and try and fire him with cause. Then they turn around and hire Captain Hooker who has failed miserably mainly because he can't find a QB. What idiot worth half a shite would want to coach there? That place is a career killer. You have no patience or support from the admin or the big money guys. They're looking for excuses to fire you right after the introductory press conference.

The best thing Aubie could do is hire someone on the cheap like Cadillac who actually gives a shite about that place and pay big money for coordinators and staff to surround him with people who can help him be successful. Then go buy some players.

He and his agent are doing the smart thing and waiting to see what kind of offers he gets. Even if he plans on staying, he'll be able to adjust that extension accordingly

Learn to read and reading comprehension.

Would you get your panties out of a wad if I changed the title so that Auburn doesn't look this ridiculous?

Sumrall

His OC at Tulane was the OC for Chad Morris at SMU and Arky. If there is even a remote chance he comes with him then it’s a no for me.

The only person on that list who would even consider taking that job is Jimbo Fisher.

Poor Aubie.

Your question makes no sense.

Would Auburn be in the same situation if Lane had gone there 3 years ago?

Yes. They would.

Its the culture of the fans and the money men pulling strings.

If any of these teams are serious, they'll pony up the money to hire Cignetti. Otherwise, it'll be rinse, wash, repeat in three years.

Sumrall is probably their best, realistic candidate...a guy with no P4 experience that they will drastically overpay for out of desperation.

A decent hire, but definitely no homerun or needle mover...especially after watching Tulane this week. He had a couple of great years at Troy though. Auburn isn't swimming in the same candidate pool as LSU, Florida and Penn St.

Lane is great for a place that isn’t used to winning much. That’s why he’s better off at Ole Miss. The autistic circus wouldn’t fly at a blue blood like Auburn.

Auburn wanted the OM coach in 2022 and ended up hiring OM leftovers

I'd hire Buster at GA Tech, Weis Jr or Golding at Auburn.

Per V-Tech's board, Franklin met with the admin and V-tech met all of his demands. From Nil to pay.

V-Tech has given Sexton until Monday.

That would take VT off the board. Good coach for them
