So the 5 for 5 rule was adopted on June 2026, after the NFL draft (held in April 2026). To be applied going forward to college athletes.

The 2022 class got the judge to grant them eligibility citing loss of educational and NIL opportunities.

What does any of this have to do with NIL? Dudes that played 4 years of football, entered the draft, earned NIL. They cite college degrees and NIL to come back?

There are juniors that enter the draft after 3 years that can’t come back. So the whole point is you can enter the draft, go undrafted, sign contracts, get cut and come back starting your junior year?

Lane trying too hard bc he’s at a program he can’t underdog his way to victories and anything short of a playoff run in year 3 gets him on the hot seat.

I can understand you not wanting them to play, can’t understand how you don’t see what their argument is

Unless of course you are just playing dumb

There are a lot of arguments against these kids playing, but the eligibility angle is the absolute worst possible one.

They didn’t choose to go pro over staying in college. They were told they were out of eligibility before a new rule granting them a 5th year was introduced.

If anything gets the the TRO, the NCAA pulling that shite after the NFL draft is what’s going to do it.

Well yeah, they made that choice. These kids didn't decide to leave, they were told they had to.

There are hundreds of athletes suing the NCAA, this isn't about Lane.

Sure I can.

If Wright or Harris had been informed that they could choose a 5th year in college over entering the draft, they would have done so. The NCAA announcing the rule change AFTER the draft left them no choice.

Wright was a projected UDFA and Harris was hurt.

Told they had to leave? Some of them have been in school for 6 years. The 5 for 5 is to get the old guys out.
