So when do we move to Round 2?

Must See Tv awaits:

Pregame lines at +/- 0

Biscuits and gravy - 24 vs. Grits (your style, cheese and shrimp, etc) - 23
Still causing rednecks to pause when ordering every morning. Epic.

Gumbo - 25 vs. Creole and Cajun boudin - 22
South of I-10 death cage match, we'll piroques be broken?

Pecan pie - 22 vs. Chicken fried steak or venison - 25
Do I lose a belt hole for entree or dessert?

Upsets to watch?

BBQ ribs - 29 vs Banana pudding - 19
Class 4th of July grudge match....does the custard pull it out?

Homemade ice cream - 28 vs. Fried green tomatoes - 20
Does the cream take advantage of it's soft served up bracket?

LA vs. the rest of us

Cornbread - 27 vs. Jambalaya - 20
Won't be close, AL/MS/TN come to play

Fried Okra - 20 vs. Crawfish (boil or in etouffee) - 25
Can north of I-20 show up to make a game of it?

Pulled pork - 21 vs Po Boys in general (shrimp, sausage, etc) - 26
Does PP feel slighted for being left out of the bagette throughout history?

The depression era south could make anything taste good. Poisonous arse pokeweed included. And, they held onto those dishes forever. My grandmother would almost get mad at people for letting their pokeweed get to big before cutting it, as if they were wasting food.

Squirrel brain and scrambled eggs was even a breakfast favorite that stayed with some of them for a long time. But, I would never try it.

Yep. My granny made amazing poke sallet. Bacon grease and eggs. So damn good. Mine is pretty good, it’ll never be like hers.

She made amazing fried squirrel as well.
