Yep, it could easily end up like a concert situation where people have been killed. When the crowd is that thick and starts moving you on your feet, that shite gets scary.

Hey I’m getting old in my 50s….but the kids had fun. This is what college football is all about. We all hope no one gets trampled. But dang life is short. That is a moment you will not forget.

Set aside the safety risk it presents because thats self explanatory.

People are awful these days and sooner or later some unfortunate player or players will get suspended because some dumbass rushing the field will do something to a player or players to get a major response out of them and create a major controversy so they have some stupid video on social media and get their 15 mins. Nothing good can really come from field storming situations so just put a stop to it before something dumb does happen.

Field rushing shouldn’t happen until the opposing team leaves the field. Vandy fans need to go out and teach others how to do it properly.

And when your team is missing one or more of its best players for multiple games and the season goes up in flames because of some stupid field storming incident please remember that those kids are just having fun.

People have been killed and paralyzed by field storming. At least let the opposing team time to get off the field.

It’s not advisable just on the safety issues alone. It’s all fun and games until someone gets hurt or killed doing it.

I get why people want to do it and I’m sure it’s fun and memorable. I also see the danger in it though. It could turn tragic in a heartbeat.

Not just concerts. The Hillsborough disaster in 1989 in England. 97 Liverpool fans were killed in a crowd crush event at a soccer game in Sheffield

This. Crowds and crowd psychology can be very dangerous. On December 3, 1979 at The Who concert in Cincy 11 young people (aged 15 - 27) were trampled to death. I was in a similar situation on a college campus at a rock festival. Your heart rate hits 180 in a microsecond when you see the crowd suddenly surge toward you. Fortunately no one was seriously injured, The cause: someone reportedly had pulled a gun. I realize a football celebration is different, but crowds are very unpredictable.
