Now State wont fire Merlins. The rest of the SEC west can rest easy knowing the mediocrity will continue!

I don't see why people would rather have Mississippi State "mediocre" and winning 6-9 games a year than for us to go back to the days of the Croom error and win 2-4 games a year.

State returns 18/22 starters and 38/44 on the two deep. The schedule has 6 sure fire wins, 3 home toss-ups and Alabama/LSU/Ole Miss

That win last night could have been the most important in school history. Keeps the momentum going into a new stadium expansion in what could be a big year.

Because if Mississippi State's football history has shown us anything, it's that their next coach will elevate them above mediocrity.

The 4th quarter and OT were very entertaining, but lets not get out of bounds on what this means. For 45 mins, it was some pretty damn bad, boring arse football. Glad that MSU won, but that O is just terrible.

All seriousness...Dak Prescott is a pretty impressive dude. Played lights out at Auburn and did the same last night.

I only see 4, are you including Arkansas and @Kentucky as "sure fire wins"?

But Jesse Palmer said that Dak would be a Heisman candidate next year.

I know that i'm the minority but, I think that dan mullens is a great coach.

his kids seem to love him and he has a lot of talent coming back next year.
