They’re finally admitting it.

quote:

"Jimbo at Texas A&M scares me," former LSU quarterback Matt Flynn said on a radio show Friday with former LSU tailback Jacob Hester on 104.5 FM ESPN Radio, per Glenn Gulibeau.

"He's in Texas, where he can get all the talent he wants," Flynn said.

Both Miles and O have made Texas their chocolate box. Pick the best ones out, leave the scraps.

Well, seems like the spokesperson for the LSU fans, Mr Flynn, has said all that needs to be said.

Congratulations Farmer1609 on your a7m boys getting the early win of the Tigers.

The “best one” equals the 17th & 48th ranked players in the state and that’s it? Plus Brooks is a big risk not to make it in and and Jimbo has 4 higher rated DBs.

Was Florida a barren wasteland for football talent? When Jimbo throws 6 bubbles screens before the second quarter on to another tamu loss to LSU I’ll bunp this thread.

Many LSU posters on here won't admit it, If A&M manages to put it together they are trouble. Kirby / Saban and Jimbo will be in their backyards with proven products if Jimbo rights the ship.

Well Flynn has a point. I mean, honestly, Florida produces 0 in state talent. Maybe one or two FBS level players a year right?

Joking aside. Jimbo can find a ton of talent in Texas. Well he could find a ton of talent in Florida as well. In Florida, with Miami being down, he was at the first or second best school in the state. At A&M he is at the second best school in the state. Not saying that to disparage A&M, but Texas will always squat on top of the pile if they have a coach worth a darn.

He is not magically going to have access to hordes of talent he never had before. What is more Jimbo seems to want to run more a pro style offense while Texas is the home of the spread. It could work, but it does raise the difficulty level a wee bit.

I thought bubble screens were LSU's thing now.

Being in the SEC has evened things a bit versus playing second or third fiddle in the big dumpster fire they call the Big 12. Plus Herman is unproven to put it nicely.
