I probably call the play in the endzone a safety, which means instead of going for it on fourth down late Saban just trots out the best FG kicker in the country he makes it and Bama still wins the game.
They deserved almost all the penalties save one. How do you call PI when the DB is facing the football AND has position on the WR?

Bama refs, no matter where or who.

The politics of televised sports. Alabama means viewers. Viewers mean money. You can bet they'll always get the benefit of the doubt.

I know you think the universe is Bama-centric but it’s much more likely that the Big XII was trying to stick it to departing Texas.

The Big 12 is pissed at Texas for leaving.
Big12 refs were fricking us over long before we decided to leave. They suck. A monkeypox on all their houses.

You sound like a dumbass coach.

Pat Dye used to say, "If you need a yard against Alabama, you'd better get three."
Texas money will mean nothing. If you come at the King, you'd better not miss. I relish victories over Alabama.

Evidently, you didn't watch the game.

It's amazing how we've been able to bribe dozens of ref crews comprised of hundreds of different people working for so many different conferences over the past few years with absolutely no evidence left behind and no one willing to talk about it.
It really defies explanation!

Auburn and Bama both. Two peas in a pod.

What is Bama supposed to do. Call the SEC office and say since the refs calls on the field didn’t go the way of Texas, we would like to forfeit our win?

It's actually dumb to do. You tuck the ball, and you take the sack, or in this case the safety. That is the smart play. It was not smart football on the part of Bryce Young. He was merely lucky it worked out for him.
Yep. Compare that to Kentucky's punter, who put the ball out of the end zone after the awful snap. That's a five point play.

In all of the angles I saw, he was on a big body and nothing ever touched the ground. But, it should have at least been grounding as no one was in the vicinity of the ball. So a safety but not for the reason you think

And every time, the explainer conveniently forgets that Young was on the ground not once, but twice. Leg was down before he rolled over the tackler. Non throwing arm was down before he slung the ball. It was a safety.

His shin was on the ground and further tip passes doesnt negate grounding. Its not in the rule book.

Which would be really weird since the SEC didn't supply the refs.
