I really don't understand why some of these schools are fine w/students all bum rushing the stands to get to their seats. Seems like a dumb way to end up w/an inevitable crush and/or trampling situation.
People did get trampled against LSU in 2019. That was the first year they axed assigned seats and started doing complete free for all first come first serve.
Now, you at least request a ticket the week of the game, but it is still first come first serve.

My niece got a full ride from UTrans a few years ago. She was there for 4 years and only went to three or four football games while she was there. She graduated 2 years ago. As a student, she said it was just not that much fun. She said that during the stadium upgrade construction, it was really bad.

Yea, it was terrible. Here is a gif from the 2019 LSU game with everyone waiting outside hoping to get into the game. I think we waited outside the stadium for 4 hours or so. Couldn't even go tailgating or enjoy anything around game day because of it.

Texas should just ban all students from all sports events for the next year. Equity right?

Two LSU fans attempted to fight an Alabama staff member when the crowd rushed the field after the 2022 Alabama/LSU game. Another threw up his hands to fight Nick Saban as he was leaving the field.
